'Oh, lovely! I'll be so glad to have a friend along.' Selena smiled and extended her hand to the child, passing through some invisible barrier. Dainty fingertips, smooth blue palm and pink-patterned silk sleeve solidified as she did, the offering somehow necessary.

Phase 2- To the teleporter!

"Here?" True made an unreadably grotesque face.
The bright, sunny day had grown strangely cold as they approached the property, if it was even that. A lawn well kept once was overgrown with foreign, twisted and bland-colored flora that hissed and crawled with vermin in the icy breeze. Something that was once a car lay sunken in its midst, rusted and long glassless, no driveway to rest on. A rat even sat on the dashboard.
Well. Not really.
The creature was dead and rotting, eyeless by now and devoid of any fur. The two-story house behind it seemed to be in a comparatively merry condition, vaguely painted a stomach-churning yellow, windows whole but opaque with filth, though a few had once-quaint forest green shutters.
The door was rotten and speckled with mildew. In answer to True's question, it slowly slid inward, a foreboding black gash in the moldy view.
"Mogg. You've got to be kidding me. Why here? Couldn't you have put it somewhere else?"
Aspectus shook his head and reached forward to part the everglades before him. "You know technology, Commander. 'It's all very complicated.' There's nothing in there, anyway."
This time his voice wasn't full of that cool, creepy assurance. True seemed to notice and made another equally grotesque and meaningless face, but marched in after him.
"We have five Portable Teleportation Units in place, we frequently refer to them as PTDs." The psychic started to explain, for everyone else's benefit. "The maximum load is approximately two persons per unit, and after that there's a fifteen minute recharge wait. The units are scattered around the house, because from lightyears away, even Deflagron technology gets a little imprecise. Also, the units are only really good for up to three recharges at this range. The PTD by the door is dead, so we'll just find the others and use those instead. There should be enough for everyone, plus four extra. Any questions?"

(Those of you who came on motorcycle can be behind the car or just inside the house. Rush will've escorted you. ^_^)

Nala wrinkled her nose as she raised her hand, the expression quite similar to the one True had made. "Just one. How is that place not condemned?"

Vic pulls up infront of the house, popping a wheelie as he grinds to a halt on the lawn. He waits for Viviette to dismount, then does the same himself. He looks around and then frowns.
" This house... looks so messy and unkempt. A bit like Fatty's den... but it also looks very emo"
Vic frowns and walks inside, adjusting his helmet while complex things involving personal teleportation are explained to him. He obviously isn't paying attention. " So who are we beating up?"

"I[/b] am beating up a superpowered evil version of the little preteen nerd," the Shadow Ranger answered Vic's query. "You can have whatever grunts I see fit to leave alive in my wake. That should be challenge enough for you."

Mark soon walked up. Whisteling a tune to himself, he walked up with the others. In time to hear the entire conversation about the teleportation devices inside. Hearing the two spandex clad fighters bicker with eachother, he then responded in his own oppinion.
"Before we go about calling dibs and who saw what first... lets go find those teleporters." Mark said as he began walking towards the door.
"Oh, and do let me know if there are any traps or antying." Mark said as he slowed his walking pace realizing that there may be something rigged as a security precaution.

Rush had arrived with Vic, running ahead. Now she was stationary, but tapping her foot to a spastic rhythm. "There's none."
"Exactly." Aspectus agreed with Jeff, only very faintly sarcastic before following Mark. "With luck, that will be all there is to it. There would most likely be no trouble at all until we're out of Deflagron territory. You don't even have to go through customs."
There were no security mechanisms active, as Rush has said. Quite obvious in the damp darkness beyond the open door was a plainly alien device, blue and chrome, perhaps a half meter across, the non-functioning PTD Aspectus had referred to, power loss indicated by a single red light.
"Yeah." True mumbled to no one. "I think we should all stick together."
"While I don't object to staying in groups, I don't think it's necessary for us all to stay together, Commander."
"Eh." She shrugged, stepping inside and looking around. "Fine. Go get eaten by monsters. Don't come crying to me when you're dead."
Even in darkness, the house felt big and roomy. Before them, behind the dead PTD was a moldy staircase, to their right some more pitch black space, probably a sitting room, to the left a closed black door.
True tested one foot on the old staircase, then recoiled, then ducked her head into the sitting room, then went in. Aspectus cast a glance back to the others, shrugged and followed her.
Rush, in her turn, prodded at the closed door with a dagger-finger before opening it and vanishing inside, followed by Lucubro and a sick-looking Impendo girl.
With a distasteful grimace, Nova chose the stairs, soon tailed by Amnis.

The Shadow Ranger stepped up and looked back and forth before following Nova and Amnis up the stairs. There was probably more space upstairs, which meant more places to look.
Seeing him take that route, Nala instead followed Impendo, since s/he and Amnis were the only ones she really knew, and she really didn't want to hang out with the Shadow Ranger.

Counting the group number, Mark decided that he would even it out to 3 for 3 on each side, and decided to follow True and Aspectus. Now all the groups were even.

Vic frowns as the shadow ranger follows True. There goes the one person he likes. He turns to look to Rush and Impendo, and decides to head with them as they have the highest proportion of women in their group, and thus, need to be protected.

(Neh, True wasn't followed by Jeff...He went upstairs with Amnis and Nova. =X )
"Ah...," Vivi takes a look around the dismal entrance, a sick look developing as she sniffs the air and notices the mold. It had already looked like a bad place from the outside, but the inside seemed even worse...Wonderful. Mold and dirt and dust and who knew what else awaited her no matter which way she chose. She hated...well, she hated dirty places in general, and a filthy old house filled with alien technology and monsters, if that girl True was to be believed, was even worse. How disgusting.
She watched as the other group members went their merry (or not-so-merry) way, each choosing a different route. The stairs were immediately ruled out in her mind--evident mold amplified the risk of the stairs falling in one hundred times to her. It was a simple choice from there; having only really become acquainted with Aspectus and True, she hurried after them, calling softly, "Hey, wait!" Before resuming her constant humming...

Zoe smiled and reached up to touch the hand.
*House*
Davidson paused and looked around. "The entire appearance of the house was distasteful to him, but he wasn't about to be left behind. He immediately decided to follow Nala, but at the moment, he wasn't sure where the demon went.

Vic takes a look at the digimon and Nala and frowns, then turns and moves over near Viviette and True, the two people he knows. He coughs loudly.

(*gasps* You do love me! =D)
*EAST*
Even in the dimness, one sensed it was sort sort of sitting room. To the north was another room, but it was too dark to make anything out. They'd seen windows outside, why weren't there any in here?
True looked over her shoulder, seeing Mark and then Vivi following quickly after. "Oh, good. We get the non-..." Now Vic followed. "Ah, hello. I stand corrected."
"We'll find a machine identical to what was by the door, but the light will be white." Aspectus left True's side to search the room, glowing blue eyes the only pinpricks of light visible. "When it's recharging, it'll turn green, and then it will be blue so you know it's already been used once, then green again when it's recharging, then purple when it's used twice, then red when it's out of power... Hm."
He trailed off and True wasn't even listening, wandering aimlessly, looking around this filthy chair or under that rotten table.
"Eww... There's slime on some of this stuff. Are you sure there's-"
BANG!
As fast as the Guardians spun, the source was obvious, the front door that'd swung open was sucked shut by the wind.
"Yes, I'm sure. Let's hurry and find the PTDs."
*NORTH*
The stairway held noiselessly until the Shadow Ranger stepped on it, but even then it only complained.
While Nova hated real darkness, this old, wannabe-spooky house was hardly going to be an issue. The Guardian's skin seemed to glow of its own accord, and his red-flaming eyes shed white high-powered spotlights wherever he looked. Judging by those, he was busy eying strange stains and splatters on the walls as opposed to his assigned task.
"Shouldn't be hard to find one." He reasoned out loud. "PTDs like to pop up in more open spaces, so it's not going to be inside walls or under beds..."
Amnis was silent, hot pink low-glowing eyes hardly candles compared to Nova's, but that was just fine with her. "This house has only two floors, right?"
"Yeah. Why?"
She did a double-take, then shrugged. "Nevermind. I thought I saw another staircase."
Nova threw his floodlights on a particularly suspicious mark. "You don't have to follow me, go look. Just holler if you find anything."
She shrugged again and turned away, back down the hallway they'd been going down, opening a door, poking her head inside, disappearing.
*WEST*
"Hello?" Impendo called quietly into the darkness, Rush before him, looking around hopefully. Of little importance was the fact that the smaller girl was clinging to the Delta Guardian's hand.
"Hush, Penpen. There's nobody here."
"Then why are you hushing me?"
"Because! Shush!"
"Why are you shushing him?" Lucubro asked, only to be a pain.
She ignored her teammate and shook her hand from Impendo's, sparking cat-eyes flicking around the condensed space. This room was a bit lighter, a window in the wall facing them; though thickly curtained in red, it was enough for them to see.
There were chairs with fat cushions, one love seat couch, all were patterned brown and black. At least, they hoped those were patterns. There was one coffee table, and a half-filled cup on it.
"Hello?"
"Impendo Gamma-"
"That wasn't me!" He shrieked.
Only then did Rush notice that he was pointing, that Lucubro was staring.
"Hello?" The soft voice called.
The door quietly shut behind them.
"Hello." It said again, with a final air. It was seated in one of the brownish chairs, how had she missed it? It was an undefined bulk of a person, wide in the chest, vaguely skinned, long legs spread as it leaned forward to peer at them, but it didn't seem to have any eyes to peer with, even as it raked over the Guardians, over the digimon, finally rested on Nala.
"Hello." Rush returned. "Do you live here? We won't be long. We're just looking for our teleporters."
Its head tilted to an impossible angle, gaze shifting back to Rush. "I hate you."
"Oh. Have you seen our teleporters, then?"
But it said nothing more, only looked back at Nala, and smiled. For a split second it bared only grey and black-speckled gums, but quickly a full set of snake fangs shot in to fill the gap.

Vic grins and looks at the slime. " Oh man, I hope this is like Ghostbusters. I want to fight slimer! Thats been one of my life goals." He looks to aspectus. " Sir Assy, what is your stance on slimer?"
