Vivi went quiet at Mark's words, breathing quickly and shallowly but slowly returning to normal as she sat there. Gone? They were...dead? She looked around herself for some sign of the ants, some sign of living ants, at least, and found none. "Oh." The first truly intelligible word since she'd panicked, it was spoken stupidly, almost as though she didn't know what to say. Then she was up on her feet, face red in embarrassment, crying, "Oh! I'm sorry. I'm really sorry! I just...I don't like bugs..."

"Idiots," the Shadow Ranger muttered as he made his way on down below.

Thankfully, the floor stayed dead.
Aspectus looked surprised at Vivi's outburst, almost afraid, himself, but that was some effect of his empathic abilities. Finally, he looked away, watching Jeff leave.
"Are you alright now?" He glanced back, keeping his distance. "No hurry or anything..."
*Basement*
Predictably, Jeff didn't trip and tumble down the staircase. Upon reaching the end of it, the new room's contents became obvious, those being...
... Nothing. There was nothing down here. There weren't even walls that human eyes could see.
Granted, sight wasn't an issue. Far to the Shadow Ranger's left, down an absurdly long hallway of vaguely pulsing blues, was a vague glow and distant roar penned behind a standalone closet of black two by fours, probably the boiler. Closer to his right was a light at the top of another staircase, maybe a door to the outside.

Without wasting time, he immediately turned to progress toward the boiler, ignoring the odd walls and such. Oddities weren't worth his time and were hardly anything to get spooked over. He'd leave that to the cowards upstairs.

Vic climbs to his feet, his scarf calm now, though ants still cover his body. Now that the battle was over, he had time to focus, able to control his abilities a bit more. A red glow surrounds him, a deeper, blood red compared to the normal almost pink shade that his abilitys take on. A bubble forms around him, but of destructive energy rather than the shielding energy, like a controlled field of concentrated laser fire. It only exists for a moment, and as Vic exhales slowly, the energy disapiates, leaving no sign of the ants behind.
" So did she drop any loot?"

"The Piniata only had ants..." Mark remakred. As he looked around. The other costumed jerk was starting to become a pain. He'd have to send him a thank you bomb some day, Mark always dreamed about such things with people who got on his nerves... and yes, thank you bombs did exist... rare, but they were there... came with the note and everything to. But he would not let himself day dream.
"Alright, we ready to get moving now?" Mark clarified with the others, staying as a group was the best option, despite what others may think in the group...

"Why would there be loot inside a..." Aspectus trailed off and looked down the stairs behind him. His revolver shifted back into a coin, which he pocketed.
"Yes. The sooner we move, the sooner we get out of here."
*Basement- WEST*
Indeed, the odd walls were nothing to worry about. They shimmered with a translucent blue that hinted at some kind of ocean outside, though no fish could be seen. The floor here was littered with empty bullet casings, and one butter knife, for no particularly apparent reason.
His walk seemed to take much longer than it should have, the boiler not getting any closer for some time. Eventually, though, he made it out of the hall.
With a roar, the ocean behind the Shadow Ranger collapsed into itself. It didn't flood into the room, held back invisibly, but the hallway was definitely gone now.

The ranger ignored the roar of water behind him. He had been patient throughout the abnormally long hallway, his stride never faltering, and now, he moved around the boiler, trying to see where the teleporter might be.

There didn't seem to be anything alien to the boiler besides the boiler, itself. Visible through the old wood was its twisted form, thickly clawed iron paws entirely immobile.
It was essentially lion-like in body, sitting back on its haunches. Great black wings spread up out of its shoulders and back down. From its ears out of the thick mane, two thick and twirling iron horns. Its tail, a long, absurd rope like a rat's, solid black, solid iron.
It sat motionlessly, fire licking out of its smooth snout.
'No teleporter here.' A new voice growled from nowhere, likely the iron lion, himself. 'You'll have to search elsewhere.'
'Liar.' The spider countered, reconfirming her weightless presence. 'Look, a friend.' With a spindly leg she reached out to nowhere.
At the cue, a more familiar black-clad form raised her head, propped it up on her leather gloves.
"He's a Lying Lion." True admitted, apparently disappointed by Jeff's presence. "I'm like, sitting on it and he won't admit it's actually here."

"Nice," the Shadow Ranger muttered. "Probably some part of the house's enchantment. The others shouldn't be far behind. You can flag them down. I'll go looking for the next teleporter. I thought the old water was an old well, but I think it's with all that water in the hallway."

*Sandbox* Zoe smiled and reached up to touch the hand. (I don't think there was a reply to Zoe's end of the story. If there was, I'm sorry, I must've missed it.) *Green Hall* All the while, Davidson was grumbling and clutching his eyes. "The decoration of this house is going to kill my eyesight..." He complained.

*Sandbox* As Zoe took her hand, her stomach seemed to drop; her feet lost the ground, but she didn't fall. The world blurred and spun around them, a mob of warping colors of the world, then solid black for a brief instant, a flurry of orange, now white and cool. Selena released her hand, still smiling. "Welcome to Deflagros!" Deflagros was apparently a circular white room with one fat, low cylinder in the center. There was a high metal door in one end, but that was it for eye-catching features; even the lighting seemed to come from no particular source. "Oh." Selena tapped her chin in thought. "Perhaps we arrived before the Guardians." (You missed it. S'on page three or four. =P) *Basement-WEST* 'There is no water here.' The iron lion rumbled. 'You'll have to search elsewhere.''Stone and not water.' The tiny mass on his shoulder protested. 'Take the door that is open.'True folded her arms, only hearing the lion, but ignoring it all the same. "Like I'm a telepath, but whatever. Go knock yourself out." *Green Hall* Ripple spun to eye to digimon in disbelief. "What, you don't care for our flavor? Harrumph!" He pronounced the indignation with some minor difficulty. "I should like to sample yours." Without looking at it, he flung open a fire-blackened door to his right, still glaring daggers at Davidson, and stepped inside, sideways, so he wouldn't have to drop the wooden-eyed stare. "Care for some crumbles, guests that I don't hate?" Rush growled and re-folded her arms crossly. Impendo raised his hand gingerly. "Can I ask-" "No! I hate you." Ripple's stare shifted to the little girl. Then he smiled, that horrible, ugly smile. "I am kidding. Of course you can ask, I don't hate you." Impendo lowered his hand. "Ah! Then let's go on to victory, chaps!" The earthworm demon spun on his heels and strode into the kitchen. The kitchen was a good deal livelier than the house this group had seen thus far. It was bright here, clean. The sun shone in through a window, the most perfect day outside. The sink faucet was upside down and spraying water up like a sparkling fountain. Bubbles seemed be floating from nowhere in particular as a bright, clean yellow dishrag scrubbed away at already spotless plates under the fountain-faucet. Once rinsed and dried the dishes flew back into their respective whitewashed cabinets. The knives, too, were all sharp and glinting, busy chopping and re-chopping away at vegetables that only healed after each cut. Upon Ripple's entrance and wide, enticing smile, the whole room shimmered in greeting, and a sparkle precluded the formation of a bell shaped figure in the center of the melee. It filled out as a glass woman with a wide-skirted dress of china, blue painting tracing an over-elaborate apron's outline on the maid's gown. "This is Marybell, she is a maid." Ripple provided. Marybell curtsied with a fragile tinkling. "Marybell, where is that new plate you found?" She pointed behind her. Sure enough, there was the teleporter, blinking white at them.

The Shadow Ranger looked down at the spider before looking away from the water and moving back the other way, looking for the open door she had spoken of.
*Kitchen*
"Oh my," Nala gasped in awe at the glass woman. "She's so beautiful!"

The spider almost seemed to sigh. 'Figuratively speaking, Shadow Ranger. Figuratively speaking. Take this teleporter.'
*Kitchen*
"Yes." Ripple agreed distractedly as he stroked his chin. Then he reached for a paring knife; his clear, pink flesh settled around the handle. "But my husband is prettier."
The maid only curtsied her thanks with a dazzling smile, throwing little rainbows around the room.

*Basement*
"Hmph," the ranger grunted. "If you don't mean a door, you shouldn't say a door." He adjusted course for the teleporter.
*Kitchen*
"Your husband?" Nala asked in confusion.
