"I'm not interested in that," he answered neutrally. "I have other reasons for finding out how far I can go."

" Ah, okay then. Just do as you will, as long as its within the guidelines ..." He was smiling yet he never turned once to face Hawkins.

"Don't worry," Daniel Hawkins answered calmly. "I have no intention of causing trouble. My intentions are entirely benign. I'm just not so interested in personal glory. I fight because I have to, not because I want to."

(Sounds right.)
*Obadiah vs. Carrie*
Obadiah was able to react fast enough to get out of the way of the kicks, though all he could do against the electric blast was brace himself against the impact, which caused him to slide back a few feet, and, along with a slight bit of general tingly numbness, frizzed Brilshaden's hair. Changing both the sabre and short sword into falchions, he was back on the offensive in a flash, attacking her constantly, using his strength and speed to physically outdo and dominate her.

"Would you fight me because you had to? Through it seems completely illogical that you must fight, I highly doubt there is as much resistance to it as one would assume from listening to your previous statement. You must recieve at least a small quantity of a more pleasurable emotional reaction in the course of battle, or else, as stated before, you would not fight..." Zionix was running out of breath, she forgot to breathe in between her sentences and not to speak so fast. It seemed she was taking in deep breathes as she finished a portion of her statement to him.
*Carrie vs Obadiah*
As Obadiah slid back she rolled back. As his weapons changed and he charged, she rose. And as this all happened and he began to come onto the offensive, she melted he sword into a spear and as was holding off the offensive with plenty of room between them. His speed was impressive and strength as well, for a human.
She was physically stronger than most human males, and it seems that he was too. She could match his speed easily but would have to step it up to match his strength. The wobbling spear end repealed the attacks by knocking them to the side and dodging them.
(Here's the ways she does it. She can control metal to an extent, and cannot work with more materials than there are at the moment. She basically liquefies the sword and forms the liquid in to the shape of a spear, and then solidifies it again. It has the same properties as the sword yet its physical appearance is completely different.)

"My reasons for discovering how far I can go have nothing to do with any love of battle," Hawkins answered Zionix coldly. "How far I can go has a direct effect on how quickly I can bring the event to an end that requires me to fight. I assure you, I gain no emotion from destruction other than disgust and sorrow." He glanced toward her. "You are scheduled to be the net man's opponent, aren't you? Then yes, I'll face you." He glanced to the knight next. "I don't suppose you have some urban combat area ..."

"Hah! Don't flatter yourself little one. I'm not in the least bit interested." He sped away from the lightning bolt. "You're way too slow to even touch me. It's sad really" He ran at her and jumped up as high as he could and threw one of his claws at her.

Dawn smiled when the undead leaped into the air. She unleashed a large burst of flame down to intercept him. After all, once you're in the air, it's pretty hard to go anywhere else.

The knight sighed; he did not like the idea of him giving him orders to set an arena. The arena was his choosing and his only, but he would entertain Hawkins this once just because he seemed to be the only one really wanting to gain titles and ranks.
“Sure, just have this lass here back before her match.”
“LASS?! Why sir I will assure you that that title will not—“Zionix began before being teleported in a blur with Hawkins to an abandon small town. Not urban, but it had buildings and roads. It resembled the suburbs more than an urban setting.
“Arggh.” Zionix roared, “Whatever, I guess I’ll deal with you before arguing with him. She back up a few feet and got in a defensive pose, ready to begin.

"Lass is a reference of admiration," the mercenary explained as he drew his pistols, but only in order to assume that strange stance he took against Dream Catcher. "It is used only in reference to those believed by the speaker to be young and attractive. It is no insult."

" I really dislike the idea of being called something other than my official rank and title or at least my name, given that it would only be proper. Such titles as LASS and Darling are not acceptable."
She reached in her pocket and pulled out a metal cup looking device. Holding firmly, she jerked her arm in a downward line verging on being to her right. Multiple cup objects came out of the one, linking together into one staff, the blade on the end composed completely of plasma. She then pulled out her dagger, holding it too firmly in her hand. Left hand contained the dagger, right, the scythe.
"Should I make the first offensive strike or will you be making it?"

Hawkins seemed to ignore her question of the first strike. "Then the sooner you come to realize that you are the only one who cares about a rank and title that doesn't exist for anyone but you, the sooner you can take a compliment instead of getting upset over it. Unless you're married, then like it or not, you are a lass. A young woman who is unmarried. If you don't like it, then you should get yourself a wedding."

" But I am married. " She said flatly.
" And I guess by you ignoring my question entirly that you would like me to attack first. So be it."
She ran dorward, dagger held to her face, scythe across her chest.

"Then you're not a lass, but it's still not an insult."
When she rushed in, he spun to the side around a corner, firing several shots intended to hit her while she charged at her.

One shot hit the dagger, reflecting helplessly away, doing nothing against the foreign metal. Another zipped past her, missing barely, and another as she zigzagged. One collided again the plasma blade and was blocked easily. Another came close to hitting her side but only grazed her armor, the fabrics holding firm against the blast. Surprisingly nimble and quick on her feet she could see the shots and make an effort to dodge them.
She had began to veer off to the corner he was behind, forcing him to have to lean out of the corner to get a better shot, the wall he hid behind obscuring his shots some. She had cleared the few paces she put between them in a matter of moments, bringing her scythe across to attack at the side of the wall in which he stood.
