"So I get to destroy something?" Dredge asked with a slight smile. He stepped away from the corner, and was leaning foreword hopefully.

"Pain," Beta bawled as she continued to hold her head. "Owww ..."

The other female scientist, ran towards Beta and lifted her up, wedding night style. Her blonde hair matched Beta's. She said in a comforting voice "Aw poor baby! Where does it hurt?"
A tall male scientist Said, in response to Dredge's comment "Yes, you will get to destroy things my friend many things!"
The scientist in front of Max said "Not right away however, we are behind schedule and have much work to do!"

Beta continued to hold her head as she leaned against the woman. "My head! They scared me awake and I cracked it on the pod door!"
If anyone had bothered to check, the place of impact was quite evident by a deep indent in the heavy metal frame.

Terros rolled his eyes, particularily when Beta was picked up. "When do we start working? We have a job to do, and PLEASE tell me she's just faulty and will be complete and suitable for combat by the time we leave..." He said, pointing at the dented Edenite.

(Beta isn't dented. It's the pod that's dented. =P)

Max smirked at the motherly gesture made by the female scientist. "I feel pretty happy." Max said with a smile.
The scientist standing near him said "Great! Now then, follow us, we must explain the situation to you." the scientists began to move out of the dome and further into the darkness, the one holding Beta set her down gently and said"You'll feel better soon love just follow us." She ran to catch up the the other four. As they moved further into the darkness more lights turned on ahead of them.
Max looked back at his team and said "Lets go guys!" Max walked out of the dome and followed the scientists path.

Beta nodded at the woman as she was set down and hurried alongside her to keep up with the others.

Dredge smirked as he toyed with his sword, staying back from them so he didn't accidentlyy cut anyone up. He was playing in his head the differents things he would be able to destroy, hopeing there was enough of them that he could destroy stuff without risk of it being destroyed before he got close enough for a swing at it.

One of the male scientists turned around and began walking backwards whilst the group moved forward. "Lately on Terra the activation of certain ruins has caused some problems. The Ruins are ancient remnants of now-outdated technology but this technology could still endanger local carbons on Terra."
Max spoke up saying "So these ruins are just a bunch of Junky robots that re-activated after a couple of hundred years, big deal, why do you need us to stop them?" The Scientisits looked to each other and chuckled. "What?" Max asked "What did I say that made you laugh." The Male scientist that was still walking backwards smirked saying "It's funny that you are questioning your own existance! But to awnser your question we, as Edenites must protect the carbons and these Ruins will put many carbons in harm's way if they all end up being re-activated."
The scientists made a turn left and through an automatic door, they came to a room with a large roound table and many large chairs, it seemed to be a conference room.
"Please everyone sit down!" The blonde scientist said "While you find your seats do you all have any questions?"

Dredge sat a seat or two from everyone while he played with his sword. "Why is it everyone gets a gun, but I get this lovely little baby?"

Mekka grins and says, "Why don't you have a gun, maybe its cause you are worthless one?" Right after-words, she does something flashy, a front flip, and then jumping into her chair, legs on one arm rest back on the other.

The other female scientist, the one that wasn't blonde, scowled at Dredge. "Because you wouldn't know what to do with a gun if one were shoved into your hand and your finger poised over the trigger."
The male scientist that had answered Dredge earlier smirked at the woman. "Aw, don't be bringing your dislike of him onto me, Saeline."
"And why not?" she asked, turning her nose up. "He acts every bit as arrogant as you do. It's a shameful trait, and could get his whole crew killed. If it were my call, the Mother Units would see to its removal."
Beta raised her hand as the request for questions was given.
"Yes, dear?" the blonde scientist asked as the girl dropped her hand.
"Why are they ruins?" she asked, tilting her head in her confusion. "Why weren't they just upgraded and kept in running order? Then they could be supervised and kept under control."
"They were from a separate system that proved to malfunction much in the same way the creations of the Master's race did," the scientist answered. "So they were deactivated remotely. After that, we only maintained observation from afar. The Carbons were developing well enough on their own that they didn't need our active participation, and further unnecessary interaction was deemed hazardous to their cultural development."

Dredge glared at Mekka, but dropped it at the scowling female. "Arrogance? Madam, I must protest. For what you call arrogance was merely an observative inquisative set of wonderings on the happistance of my having this lovely sword, while it appeared in my own eyes that the other embers of my newly awakened team all have guns. Furthermore, it appears that we have a support member, but I must call into question wether or not she is able to be of use in battle, or wether or not she must be kept in back, because it happens to appear in my vision og sight and mid that she does not carry a weapon. Can you use your scientific and creative minds to explain these things to me, since I seem to be such an apparent ignoramace as to be unable to comprehend it in a satsfactory level for you." He said, dripping with sarcasm and anger.
