By the way, this is supposed to sound pretty weird and awkward.

Nothing was like that day, it was a day that will forever live on in my memory. The whole time it felt like my body was calling out so something, something that it knew it couldn't reach, just as children dream of one day catching the moon, holding it in their hands like it was merely a ball with which to play. Yeah, I believe that's what it felt like.
It was cold that day, raining too. I.... decided to walk home. Normally, I would have ridden the bus but that day it seemed like it was not an option. And so I walked, the rain pounding my body like jack hammers... I think it was actually hailing that day I.... was just walking.
On my entire walk home I only passed three people, but, I must have bumped into at least ten... Not only that but, all the people I saw were wearing red, no other color just red.....
I entered my shabby house, down on 32nd street, and dis robed. Shortly after I took a shower. Nothing was on T.V. or the Radio, almost killed myself trying to sit through an episode of Scrubs; So I turned in early, roughly eight o'clock, with the strange walk I had I figured that I needed some rest, a swig of Nyquil and an advil later I was out like a light, unfortunately, that's where HE came in.
I woke up well, I GUESS it was the next day, assuming I got the full eight hours of sleep I normally never get I'd say it was about four in the morning. I awoke to the sound of Barking,I got up to shut the dog's yapper until I remembered that I didn't actually own a Dog. I made my way to the Porch to discover a brown dog sitting down about two feet off the porch and into my back yard. I didn't have time to examine it because I was too worried about what it was sitting on, my late wife's grave.
I shoved the dog off the gave site and began to clean the tombstone, I don't know why unfortunately, I mean it's not like she cares NOW but it seemed like the right thing to do. I had a tombstone there too, made it myself a long time ago, back when I still had the audacity to work at a funeral home, making tombstones for the families that thought their dead would be better off with.I made it long before I actually needed it, burst of inspiration I guess you could call it. My post-life memo read "To my Beautiful wife, whom I loved and cared for with all of my heart, I hope you bury me before I bury you!" funny joker that Fate is.
As I slowly stood up I noticed something I was too pre occupied to notice before, Beyond my house was an unbelievably thick fog, in fact, it was less like a fog and more like a tall white wall. As I approached the fog, I looked down at my back gate to notice that someone had chained my gate, not only that but they did a pretty good job of it too I couldn't get my gate to budge. The Dog behind me began to growl, not a deep threatening growl but a scared, almost cowardly growl. I led it inside and gave it some leftover steak.
Unfortunately, that's when everything really began to happen....
