Wil thinks to himself, I think I should scout out around here... Cause so far, I'm the only guy here, but out loud, he says, "I'll be right back, try not to stray far from here till I get back." He quickly turns around and jogs off following the main hall, looking at his surrounds as he did, looking for interesting shops or people other then them.

"Kitty from Austin, TX. Well, that's where I ought to be from at least." She pushed all thoughts of kith and kin form her mind, snatching up the gun from the floor like a kid filling a bag in a candy store. "Nice to meet you, Allen." The gesture was perfunctory and came off as such.
She glanced to Pink - Star. "And I'm not freaking out." In this case, her voice was calm and level. Her finger traced the words indented into the wooden hilt. A way out. But for who? From the way they had been gathered together and laid out like corpses awaiting coffins, she didn't think that shooting out the glass of the mall doors would really be an option. She continued speaking to Star in that slower voice that usually meant her mind was hard at work which also usually led to a drop in her amazingly people skills.
"You know, it says a way out. Maybe there's something to this..." Her voice was soft but clearly audible. She didn't really know this type of gun, but she knew she could shoot it. The question simply lay in how often it would actually fire. She opened it up to count bullets.
She barely noticed Wil leaving their little circle of not friends. She barely registered the way that knowledge of Karen was deliberately avoided. This was a puzzle, just another program. Once she found the algorithm, it would be clear to her. Common sense kicked in like a a pointed two boot to the butt, and she was back in the present. "We need to wake everyone up. We must have been put here for a reason. This spot was chosen. Is anybody here up for sticking around and finding out why?"
She checked to make sure the safety was on and shoved the gun in a front pocket of her jeans. The surreality of this situation was like a bad dream, but Kitty was ever trying to find her way out of her own dreams and schemes and nightmares. This was a nightmare, and she had the feeling she wouldn't wake up. She reached out to Pink in the only way that she knew how. "Thanks for the gun, Star. Really. But we need to find some sort of protection. After all, you don't wake up in a dead shopping mall becuase someone needed to say happy birthday. Is there anything you can or will use to defend yourself?"
Kitty almost liked the girl. Somehow, on this teenager, the pink hair was almost darling, and Kitty didn't want to be responsible for letting something bad happen to her - even if the girl was careless about her safety. Kitty may not have taken charge, per se, but her next statement was determined. "They need to be awake. We need something to defend herself. I need a computer and a net connection." She shivered and whispered, almost to herself, "Sane people don't kindnap a group of people, lay them out in the mall, and leave messages like the gun just to wish them happy birthday."
Without thinking, she turned for the nearest store. She could improvise a weapon from almost anything. Maybe Pink could do the same. Wil and Allen would surely be able to. She sighed, pressing herself to the darkened glass. "Star..." Her voice was low and strangled a bit with the request she was making. This was mmore than any pink scalped teenager needed to deal with. "Can you help me get into this? Out of this?"

Star walked over to the nearest store with Kitty to examine the situation as she spoke. "I'm a third-degree black belt and trained in swordplay. I appreciate the concern, but yes, I can defend myself, even if all I can get my hands on are my own two hands." She moved over to the bars and gripped one in her hand, pulling slightly. To Kitty, it would look like she was seeing if it was automated or just fastened, but in reality, the girl was checking her own strength, and what she found disappointed her.
That's what I was afraid of, she thought. There must be some sort of seal on this place. That's not good.
When she spoke again, however, it was not with that same tone. "In any case, the first thing I think we need to do is avoid doomsaying," she continued as she looked around for an operating mechanism. "As far as it matters, this is just a regular mall in the early hours of the morning. Absolute worst comes to worst, we wait a couple more hours until someone comes to open it up. If the mall's closed for some reason, we'll just need to find an exit and walk right out. There might be a visit from our hosts, but we should cross that bridge when we get there. Until then, we have to keep our heads cool and level. No Chucky talk."

-Star and Kitty- *When kitty checked the gun, she would have noticed that there were 8 rounds in the magazine and one in the chamber. As she and Star tried to get into a store, they failed to notice that the big store, for a mall, was called “Sports High” and it to, had its security gate down around the doors and windows. No matter how hard they tried, the gate wasn’t going to let them pass. However, inside the store they could see camping equipment of all kinds and a few bikes further to their right.*
-Wil- *As Wil went for a jog, he soon found the planter not far from where he had just woken up from. It was shaped like a dumbbell with an advertising board in between the two plants. On both sides were ads, one for a watch company and the other was for a clothing store. Both of which were most likely in the mall somewhere. The shops on his sides were all clothing stores and didn’t matter seeing how they two had the security gates down, preventing anyone from getting past them. Before Wil knew it, he found himself in front of large security gate hanging down from a bridge that prevented him from going any further into the mall. On the other side he could clearly see another planter and a red glowing “Exit” sign. To his right on the other side was a sporting goods store that for some reason had no gates around the display case which showed off some clothes, some golf clubs, some golf club bags, some baseball bats with helmets, a tennis racket, and some tennis balls. The other store across from it was a just another clothing store. A light suddenly turned on the pillar on the other side of the gate. Below it Wil could see some weapons, most noticeable being his Quarterstaff. If will was to back up a bit and look up, he would be able to see that on the next floor, there wasn’t a gate blocking his path even more so if he just jumped over the side from the floor up.*

At least one of them is cooperative, Allen thought. He turned towards the door, and began concentrating on activating the sword. When nothing happens, he grumbles and goes to examine the stairs.

"My stave!" Wil yelps quietly towards himself. "Got to be some way in," Wil says quietly to himself. Stepping forward to look in and up to see if he can see if there is a gate, not seeing it there, he steps back some and looks again, noticing the lack of a gate. Turning around, he ran back towards the group and the stairs.

(It was the security gate Star was shaking, EJP, so to say they failed to notice it would be ... invalid.)
(Waiting on Kitty.)

AJ decided to head over the window and take alook outside, then he headed over to the staff only door and proceeded down it cautiously

Kitty arched a brow at the uncooperative gate. Pink was a cheeky little thing. An odd thought, one from years back when she had worked at a summer camp for computer kids flashed across her mind. I do not negotiate with fifteen year olds. While it was all well and good to hope for the best, Kitty had found that it was usually more appropriate to prepare for the worst. What happened usually came in the middle, but you had both sides nailed down just in case.
Kitty sighed and turned from the gate, surveying the stores around the circle they had found themselves in. "Taking care of yourself with your hands is all well and good, but it does seem to put you in a sad situation when your last line of defense becomes your first." From where she stood, all she could see was a series of store fronts, each as uninvitin as the last one. Once more, she wished for her purse. Glasses would be nice - not necessary but nice. "And I won't doomsday anymore if it bothers you that much. I just think that this is not the kind of situation that ends up well. Strangers? Waking up in a mall? That I'm betting none of us has been in before? Too weird to have a happy ending. But I'll close up on it." She bit her tongue on asking Pink about how she thought "The Little Mermaid" really ended. Today's youth were hopeless - knowing it all and knowing jack and crap at the same time, many of them knowing only that crap just left town.
To end the about to get seriously uncomfortable situation, she gestured to the store that seemed open. "Maybe there's another place that's open? Or if we walk around here long enough, securiitywill show up, right?" She shrugged a bit and sighed. "What do you think, Star?" She bit her tongue on the normal enough explanation for ya comment that almost followed her last statement although her tone stayed accountedly absent, neither warm nor cold toward the girl. "Beats staring at bikes and what not anyways."

(krysondra if your talking about the store without a gate around its display window, then you can't see it from where you are. Its over by Wil and although he isn't that far from the rest of you, the darkness and its angle would prevent you from seeing it from where your standing.)
-Allen- *Allen would find the starts to be just normal stairs with nothing interesting about them other than both of them have a very large half way point in them in which you could easily set up a camera display to film anything happening at the doors of the mall.*
-AJ- *AJ would find the “Staff Only” door locked and being a heavy door that looked bullet proof. There was a sudden hitting sound that came from the window of the kids clothing store, as if someone hit the window. Before he'd have a chance to look at it, it happened again, this time louder and enough for everyone else to hear.*

He stopped trying for that door and calmly walked over to the window that was being banged on and viewed it from a distance and kept his guard up as he walked closer to it, stopping about 10 feet away

Upon the louder banging, Allen heads over to Star and Kitty. It sounds like something's about to go down, and we should stick together, he thinks. "Buddy-system time," he calls to them when he's near.

(You were in an entirely different section of the store, N4.)
Star sighed, shaking her head as she put her hand to her forehead, groaning in frustration at Allen's actions. "Idiot. One little sound, and all of a sudden, we must be under attack. Whatever." She broke away and headed for the stairs. "I'm going to look for the power supply. That should give us lights and open the gates. Then we can get the doors open and leave, or if all else fails, I can find a shop that has something long and sharp. Is anyone coming with me or will I be covering it on my own?"

("They would also quickly notice the two sets of stairs right next to them," "Star walked over to the nearest store with Kitty" Based on that, I believe that Allen was a short distance away, rather than what I get from "an entirely different section of the store". Looks like to me, EJP, we are going to need exact distances now.)
Allen covered a chuckle. First she insults me, then she wants company, he thinks. "You seem to have a good idea about what to do, and we apparently aren't "under attack", so it looks like I could wait here for that other guy while you go off. When he gets here, we're probably going to look for the source of the sound. Could be another person stuck here, could be something else. Kitty?" he says.

Freya woke up slowly, by the fountian. She groaned and sat up. "Where... where am I?" He clutched her arms and tucked her knees under her. She ooked around her quickly, scared. She had been in New York not to long ago, adn the city had scared her how violent it was. Now she was trapped in a strange building with no idea of how she could have gotten there.
