Slowing down a bit to allow Allen to catch up, Wil breathing heavier then when he just woke up, calls back to him, "Yeah, weapons, one of them was mine, I think they were ours!"

Kitty met Pink's gesture with the grace of good will that she could muster, a rare moment of people skills that would probably pass quickly with a great lack of grace. "Always prepare for the worst." Yet again, her fingers found the gun at her back, tracing lightly over the letters in the hilt. "So, I guess I could settle for an order of something sharp or at least something spray-y like mace... Ya know, just to fit in with the crowd. A taser would work."
Kitty grinned for a moment, almost pretty in a young girlish way and looking almost as young as Star, but then, her face turned serious. She stopped for a moment just past the top of the stairs, lowering her voice to make certain this conversation remained private for the moment. If Pink was her only real ally, then, she needed to make certain they were both playing on the same team. Leaning forward and speaking very lowly in order to cancel out any funny large space accoustics, she whispered. "So, if you really think the security room's a blank and that we need weapons, why are we so keen on trying to think that nothing is wrong with this situation?" She cast a glance down the steps that took in the others she could see and the blackness of the mall spreading out around them. "I mean, really, what is right, Star?" A note of pleading entered her voice. Kitty might be a take care of business girl, but sometimes even business girls got a little worried about things. "How could anything good come of something like this? Anything?" For once, perhaps, Kitty hoped that Pink's optimism could overcome her own doubts. After all, denial ain't just a river in Egypt, it's the first stage of admitting you have a problem.

(You all could have responded to my last post by now. Also, Veros you were not that far away to be breathing heavily. Also Veros, the weapons were by a pillar, not a room/store. Anyway, moving on…)
*AJ would find no weapon or anything detachable for that matter. He was unarmed, unless he wanted to use his boot or belt. In the store, AJ would see nothing of use. Unlike the outside of the store, the store had no lighting inside it and AJ couldn’t see anything in the store other than clothes and child size manikins. The man in the store continued to beat his head against the glass loudly. Suddenly he slowed down and came to a sudden stop and fell out of AJ’s view, except for his prison issues shoes. Now with the man formerly beating his head against the glass, out of it, AJ was able to hear, along with everyone else in the area, Wil yell out to Allen about the weapons. The word “Weapons” rang out like a loud gun shot and more often than not, was the only word they heard him say.*
(We are on the 4th page and nothing has happened so far. Things need to get moving. Hint: Follow Veros’s character, everyone.)

AJ turned at hearing this and proceeded with caution, he tried to keep himself in the darkest parts of the path as he followed, it seems as though he now had no other choice but to meet with the others in the mall to get what he needed, and that was his weapon, along with any others he could find.

Freya moved closer, to the point she was basically walking like she was Star's shadow. She was chewing on her thumb to keep from making noises at the different shadows and noises that she got scared of.

Star came to a stop, staring down the hall at nothing in particular for a moment before speaking. "Kitty, can I trust you not to panic or freak out or something if I tell you something?"

"I already know that there's someone behind us, if that's what you're about to tell me." Kitty jerked her head back over her shoulder, gesturing towards some woman who seemed about ready to freak right out of existence. "And, I'll go on the record as saying I think she ain't all here with us, even if she is here with us. But, I'm going to take a wild guess and say that's not what you were talking about."
Kitty shook her head and flashed a rare, wry grin at Pink. Kitty had been utterly prepared to detest everyone she met from the moment she woke up in a mall, quite similar to waking up dead if one would, to the moment that she went back to sleep in her own bed. Pink seemed untouched and unfazed by this, and it made Kitty wonder if she was developing some sort of people oriented personality. Of course, it also made her wonder if Pink was altogether with it. At the same time, it was cute in the way that she associated with puppies and kittens and looking at freshman cheerleaders - endearing when it wasn't making too much noise or doing too much damage.
The grin took in the situation and seemed to dismiss it as Kitty gave Star her full attention. "Well, you can trust me about far as you can throw me - that's what my Daddy would say, and I would expect we could both throw each other about the same distance. So, you can trust me as far as I can trust you." She didn't mean to attempt to educate the girl, but at the same time, it would appear somebody had to. "Which is to say, we woke up here together ten minutes ago, missing vital parts of our lives and beauty sleep." Her mind added glasses and tazer and laptop and... Her mind got the idea. "But yes. You can trust me. After all, we've both got to start somewhere... And I'd rather start with you than some of the others." She stopped by Pink, letting the girl lead this dance, and added as an afterthought. "And I don't freak out. That would be rude." She hesitated again for a second or two. "So, you might as well tell me. After all, it all does come out in the wash, and we may be about to hit that cycle."
Kitty's eyes focused intently on Pink, and her hand reached out to stop the woman behind them. That one was too close for comfort and too jumpy to be worth much. It was going to be one of those nights. She was quite certain of it.

Freya eeped as she was stopped, and she stared around. "Are we the only ones here?"

"Oh Lord" The slightly raspy voice came from a person lying just behind the fountain. "Just where did I end up now?" He sat up, stomach growling, and murmored something to himself. He looked inside his jacket, checking to make sure nothing was stolen, focusing hard to see in the slight darkness. He found everything where it should have been and stood up, bones cracking as his body wrestles itself out of "sleep mode". He could hear voices nearby and decided to follow them, hoping that they were at least reasonably friendly. He approached the stairwell and ascended, now walking at a decent gait. He caught up to Will and Allen, and after thinking a moment said "Uhhi doyouhappentok-k-knowwhatiisg-goingonhere?"
(I ran the words together because he speaks quickly, here is the normal spacing though: Uh, hi do you happen to k(studder)now what is g(studder)oing on here?)

AJ could now see the group gathered, he kept his distance, he could tell already he was dealing wtih a bunch of ninnies that would probably faint if they saw his passed out friend upstairs, but he didnt say anything and just stared at them watching them talk

Star, too, looked back at Freya with barely hidden annoyance. She didn't want to be mean to the girl, but something about her made her seem like one of those dogs that followed you around because they thought for some reason that was where they belonged. But she turned back to Kitty and lowered her voice. "What would you think if I told you that before we showed up here, I could have ripped that steel grating off without much effort? Would you believe me?"

"Yes. No. I don't know." Kitty's own honesty took her by surprise. Her brows crinkled up in annoyance. "Honestly, I don't know." Her head had dropped a bit to catch Pink's words, and now that she had them, she was at a bit of a loss as to what to do with them. Her first thought had been that anybody on the right drugs could have done it. After all, didn't mothers pick cars up off of children? So, in theory, anyone could have done it. At the same time, she didn't think this girl was a junkie or a mommy. "Does it matter? Does it really matter?" Her voice was low and rough. It could have been bitter or harsh, but it wasn't. She was just a woman working through a problem. "And if it does matter, shouldn't you be the one dooms-daying this whole scenario? If you lost that much power between your last memory and this moment, shouldn't you be the one freaking out?" She bit her lip and shot a glance at the woman behind them. Crazy doesn't even begin to cover this, she thought, reminding herself that it was okay to be cliche in one's own mind. "After all, I'd like my glasses back, a few more rounds, and my taser, but I haven't lost anything yet. Not really. It's all still in my head." She held for a moment. "I don't know if I believe you, but I am willing to suspend disbelief until further notice. This whole set-up is an exercise in suspension of disbelief." She shook her head. "But if you really had that much power and it really is gone, can we go ahead and get started on Escape Plan B? Or at least A Sharp? This place just isn't working for me right now."

Star nodded, becoming accustomed to Kitty's ramblings. "Because I've learned that when these things happen, panicking is the worst thing to do." She started walking down the hallway again, starting up the search for the security station again. "And besides, the Lord will see us through. He's still with us, no matter what happens."
