*Nova*
Warlic nodded. "Indeed, I do. Please, come into my shop." The wizard motioned behind him to one of the few interior shops in the city, opening the door and beckoning the foreigner to enter.
*Owen*
Maxwell cringed noticeably. "Ooh ... Are you okay? Sorry about that ... Sparky has allergies and a rather ticklish nose ..."

"Yeah...I'm okay. Just...kinda shocked. I didn't expect such a little guy to have a flame like that..." Owen said slowly.

Nova followed the man, nodding to him as he held the door open for him. He was a bit uneasy, but then again, it came with his line of work to be uneasy, so he allowed it for now, surely he could still learn more, trick or not, any information would help.

*Owen*
The Fire Guardian nodded. "Yeah, he's a fire starter, alright." He looked toward the path as someone was coming up, the girl in the green tunic that Nova had seen in the city. "Hail, Robina!"
"Hail, Maxy," she greeted in return. Then, when she came up closer and got a good look at Owen and with a big grin, "Who's your handsome friend? Is he single? Better yet, is he wealthy?"
*Nova*
The inside of the shop was what most would expect to see in a wizard's shop. There were shelves of potions and various other magical curio, and in back, stock of magical supplies around a large, smoking vat. All about were other things, no doubt somehow magical, and probably none of them a good idea to touch.
"As I said outside," Warlic said, looking rather older in the flickering candlelight and smokey potion steam as he rummaged through a few of the artifacts laying around and came out with a hand mirror, "you were sent here for a reason. While I can't tell you what it is word for word, I am permitted to show it to you. Are you willing to see it?"

Owen had looked in Robina's direction when Maxwell greeted her. He suppressed a laugh at the name 'Maxy'. When the girl was closer, calling Owen handsome and asking if he were single, a crimson blush spread across the young psionic's face.

"That I am." Nova replied, he was wondering if the mage couldnt show him the more direct information, or simply wouldnt, but it didnt matter, not at the moment anyways...

"You'll have to ask him, yourself," Maxwell laughed. "Robina, meet Owen. Owen, this is Robina."
*Nova*
"Then sit down," Warlic instructed, motioning toward a crate that wasn't covered in things, "and look into this mirror. Whatever happens, just try to remain relaxed."

Nova glanced at the crate for a moment, as if contemplating the request, before he moved over and sat down. He was prepared to gaze into the mirror, remain calm is what he had planned to do. During his training, he was forced to peer within the darkness of his own very soul and not flinch. He witnessed gruesome cult murders of those who were close to him, it would take a lot to make him flinch...

*Nova*
Warlic handed Nova the mirror and stepped back, waving his hand so that the candles went out, but the light from the cauldron still provided enough to see by.
In the hand mirror, at first, Nova only saw his face, and for several moments, this remained unchanged. Then a crack appeared. And another. They webbed themselves across the mirror until the image was unreadable, and then, like a glass bomb, exploded outwards like hundreds of knives.
Before they could strike, the darkness beyond the shards seemed to envelop his senses. When it seemed it would swallow him entirely, however, he found that it was not such sheer darkness around him as he thought, but instead the darkness of nighttime near the edge of an old, leafless forest just outside of what looked to be a small village.

Nova looked around his new location. The experience was interesting, made him nervous, but he had been through worse, things more nightmarish, so he was far from panicked. He doubted he was in some other place, though he did not know how to wake up, would he even wake up? Didnt matter now, he was here for a reason, might as well find out. It was good that it was dark out, made things easier. He brought down his hood and blindfold and put his mask up, he could now see clearly in the dark. He began heading towards the village, wary to keep to the shadows...

*Nova*
Though in retrospect, he would have been able to swear he stuck to the shadows on approach to the village, Nova found himself walking down the middle of the main road of the village once he entered it. His feet took him toward the center of the village where the well could be found, and next to it, a young woman with emerald hair - for that was about all you could see of her from her position, her long, emerald hair and portions of her dress - was knelt down on the ground, crying over the well.
Another strange thing, though he had no memory of removing his blindfold, it was not decidedly not over his eyes, not that it made much difference. The moon was full and the stars were clear. There was so much light a man could read by it. The magic of the blindfold was unnecessary.

"Hello, Ms. Robina," Owen said with a slight bow, still blushing.

Nova suddenly realized his blindfold down, it didnt matter how well he could see, it served more than one purpose. He reached to bring it back down as he walked towards the well. As he approached the well, he spoke out loud to the weeping woman, though he tried to keep his Black Nova persona, he spoke in his regular voice, rather than his raspier version.
"What is it that causes you to mourn?" He questioned aloud...

*Owen*
"Ooh, and so polite!" She frowned toward Maxwell. "He isn't one of the new initiates, is he?" she demanded.
Maxwell just continued to grin. "Not at all! Seriously, he just dropped by!"
She wheeled back on Owen with an ecstatic grin. "So ... You got any money ... er ... I mean ... anyone special?"
*Nova*
The young woman looked up at him, and at a glance, even though her eyes were puffy from crying, she was quite beautiful. Now with a front view, he could also see a uniquely ornate pendant hanging from around her neck. She seemed hesitant to speak, though. "You ... you are not ... one of them?"

Owen took a step back in surprise when Robina turned back to him. After a moment of stammering, Owen managed speak.
"I'm afraid I don't have any money, but what did you mean by 'anyone special?" he asked.
