Name: "Epic True", formerly "True C. Monday." (Also "Mecha True," in Japan.)
Age: Fairly impossible to ascertain, but she could be in her early twenties, in the same way grandma's oven might have been new at some point.
Gender: Female
Race: Android
Alignment: Lawful Good
Power Level: High, Medium-Tier (8)
Timeline: Modern - Futuristic
Appearance:
Hair: Gingery red, tied back in a neat, clean ponytail.
Eyes: Constant glowing green
Skin: Mostly converted to an emerald, black, and blue armor, but what armor most resembles skin is still her old 'nondescript Caucasian' white.
Build: Petite, in a giant, creaking metal rust bucket behemoth of death kind of way.
Height: 8' 0"
Weight: 3,057 lbs.
Blood: Blue coolant
Attire: None, technically, but all the armor she was rebuilt in.
Outstanding Features: After a gory accident with a steak knife, True was never able to completely restore her voice. It now has a charming, walkie-talkie sound to it, and she doesn't bother moving her rather painted-on lips to match the words anymore, adding to the creepy robot-vibe she seems to have taken a liking to.
Personality:
True's person, as hopelessly inconsiderate and cowardly and generally flaw-ridden as she was for so long, has been tainted and changed slowly over time by the restoration of her Guardian powers, essentially a sort of law-aligned pyrokinesis. She isn't any less lazy or moody or rant-prone, but she seems to have gained a vague sense of honor, and a bad habit of fighting for great justice as opposed to stalking pizza delivery persons.
Now as before, she'll sooner run from an opponent with whom she has no quarrel than face them, though the exact reason for this is unclear. Perhaps she's simply taken on more pacifistic qualities, perhaps years of having her brains bashed out by everyone she looked at wrong has equipped her with a stronger will to live.
History:
Sometime around her sixth year on Earth, True's otherworldly history came back to haunt her in the form of one of her old teammates, the traitor that first destroyed her, dubbed 'Zhor'. To her aid came the rest of team, those she'd watched Zhor murder not yet six years ago, and with them brought the trinket that'd locked in her old powers when they were torn away before her banishment.
The big fight was won and her teammates left, leaving her to her own devices once more, though now she remained equipped with her "Guardian" power.
Over time, the heavily 'anti-chaos' -themed abilities the iron locket granted made distasteful her relatively lawless lifestyle, fighting and dying and being rebuilt and fighting and dying again. Over time, True reformed- not quite literally, of course. Not at first.
The changes were slow, as these things generally are. True, herself, was never really one person, and the three souls that occupied her mind had always been imbalanced, and power shifted again. The second soul named Saber, the embodiment of greed and a thirst for violence, faded, obscured away to the world in True's mind. The first soul- Kar, the unrelenting conscience, source of logic, and the owner of the human body True occupied, strengthened and soon dominated her mind once again, leaving Veritas to take the back seat she'd been forced into for so many years.
This shift was one that Veritas, the alien long sick with unsettled madness and fear, could not stand for long. The resulting struggle was a tired one, and neither soul was victorious. Both entities slipped into a depressed, half-hearted truce for a time, giving Saber a chance to rebound. For the first time after that, all three souls were in equal power. From the lazy depression True sunk into a sort of dazed zen. Not much of a change in attitude, but a great change in productivity.
True spent a lot of time in the home she'd always avoided, a decrepit base adopted by two decrepit androids that'd adopted her, the makeshift "parents" that would always rebuild her whenever she died. With their help, she started a new project. The mere concept of this undertaking was most exciting, after all.
It was a grand project, to be sure. A powerful one, if it worked out. It might change her whole life, it might change nothing at all. But each day brought progress, and each day she built in her childish body upgrade after upgrade, better guts, stronger alloys.
It was dubbed "Project: Grown-up." And sooner than she thought, it was finished.
Powers:
Invulnerability: What was once a quirky annoyance seems to have become her main advantage. True's body armor is hopelessly impenetrable by normal methods, bullets bounce off the alien without so much as scratching her paint job. In addition to this, the wings mounted on her back act as a shape-shifting shield, malleable to suit whatever form the android might require of them. This additional shielding can render her invulnerable to many magic and all electrical attacks, and she can absorb or redirect the latter.
Super-strength: Once a convenient side feature, now an enormous benefit. True can lift nearly a thousand times her already hefty weight, though she'd certainly have difficulty throwing such a bulk. She's found cars to be nice bludgeons.
Summoning: What used to be her most valuable ability seems to have taken a backseat to the other enhancements. True can still summon inanimate objects from the unknown pocket dimension she always stored them in, though she has little use for her old weapons.
Cloaking: True possesses the ability to make herself invisible in the visible spectrum, and she can emit a counterfrequency that causes ultrasonic emissions to cancel out, thereby rendering her invisible to radar and other sound-based detection methods. She is not currently capable of cloaking her energy output or signature.
Flight: Via rocket boots and some anti-gravity technology, True is easily capable of supersonic flight. This is used in long-distance travel and is not fine-tuned, making it impractical for close combat fighting.
Weapons and Equipment:
Enhanced Sensory Perceptions: It was a relatively simple task to tweak True's more basic settings, granting the android inhuman 'hearing' and many modes of vision, including infrared and night vision. The latter are wired in through her helmet and available through different visors.
Energy Cannon: Built in her torso is a large, high-powered energy cannon that can fire an enormous blasts that don't put much drain on her energy. It can easily level buildings and is generally only used as a finisher move or a last resort.
Rocket Boots: True's oversized "feet," drastically enlarged to carry gallons of specialized fuel.
Wings: Fastened to True's back are the afore-mentioned sets of wings fashioned from the Armoire Armor. While they appear to be cherry-stained, antique wooden doors, they're truly an integral addition to True's already hefty defenses. While they can aid her in gliding, their primary function is as a shapeshifting, nigh-impenetrable shield that cancels out many magic attacks and will absorb or redirect all electrical attacks.
Armor Reconfiguration: True's body armor is capable of something close to shape-shifting, similar to Pyran's ability to reshape the components in her hands to make a certain blade, or a mace. The possibilities are finite, but reminiscent of her summoning power in that she has a few favored designs and a million more completely useless features.
Weakness: Epic True is a good deal slower than most other characters in her power level, and her face and joints are the weakest points in her armor. They can still take quite a beating, but less so than the rest of her.
Her motors require oxygen to function. While she can filter it from air and water, she can only function in space for a limited time, using internal air tanks. Under normal conditions, these tanks can keep her fully powered for up to three hours. Should she engage in combat, they can sustain her for an estimated one hour. Should she need more time, she can go into sleep mode. This sleep mode can keep her stable for an indefinite amount of time.
Under normal conditions, Epic True must return home every three days to refuel and recharge. If this is impossible for any reason, she can seek out other power sources and use them, though these sources must be considerable. She can also conserve energy by entering said sleep mode.
Epic True's "face" is armor, itself, and not her real face, which is underneath. Should said armor be removed, she would be rendered entirely blind.
