I'm probably better off going it alone, to be honest. I understand needing someone to keep watch, but the more people you have, the more food and water you have to go out and get more often, and the more likely somebody's gonna end up being a serious liability because they won't shut up.

Strategist, you plan is highly flawed and would never work with todays technology. Not to mention that if spend too much time in Zero Gravity, you won't be able to walk once you get to a planet with gravity.
Well if you have guns, then two people would be better than one, but if you don't have any guns, you'd be better off on your own.

I approve of this topic. XD
In the case of a zombie outbreak, I would say it'd depend on the time of day and what variety of zombie they were. Fast/super-aggro like 28 Days Later variety and I'd say I'd be fairly screwed regardless of time of day. But slow zombies would be pretty easy to get around, especially if the outbreak occurred before nighttime. In the day the zombies would be fairly easy to deal with but at night would probably be the most difficult.
The actual supplies I have access to would be: Car with easy access (keyless start FTW), chainsaws and various other lethal gardening supplies, at LEAST one of those water-gallons in said car at any time and of course lots of dry/nonperishable food in the cupboard. However these supplies would only be accessible at my home. ]8 If it was say at school or work, food supplies and weapons for the most part would be shot and where I live and given most of the people in the state are not the brightest...we'd have a LOT of zombies.
Best location, in my opinion, would be a multistory-building with the metal-slab gate by the main entrance, I actually know where I can find one of those, next problem would be weapons and food supply though.... Next best land-mass to be in would be Alaska, lots of food (*cough* wildlife), hunting gear-points and space. Or maybe the ocean with a well-stocked ship, I've never really heard of a sea-capable zombie when I think about it.

Would I be prepared? No.
But I don't really care if I get turned into a zombie anyway, might be fun to join the horde. D:
You might argue that I'd be dead, but then I'd argue that it might be fun to be dead.

Alaska?...what if they happen to be, you know, bear-zombies? No way in hell I'm going to deal with a bear-zombie.
Or, God forbid, a moose-zombie. D=
But, if these are only human zombies, or, like...turtle-zombies, then i'm fine. *nods*

I had a dream once where the zombies were all sentient and they started their own city, smoothly taking over and running things business as usual, albeit not associating with the rest of the country. I was in it through Star's eyes and she was trying to go about without drawing too much attention to herself. (Haha, yeah, pink-haired, pink-eyed girl trying not to draw attention to herself, laugh it up, I know you want to ...)
She was failing, of course, and one mother, looking half starved and nearly mad, pushed her carrier up to her and started begging her, "Feed my baby! Please, miss, feed my poor starving baby!" And the baby's all, RAWR!
Yeah, I think the woman was a crackhead before she got turned. And food wasn't really the problem. All the water lines pumped nutritiously-reinforced bloodwater. So, yeah, the woman was just crazy.

I've rarely seen any movies with other-than-humans-and-obvious-experiments zombies. I think games and movies only start throwing in animal zombies when the human ones aren't cutting it, like...ravens and dogs.
I'd think if zombies were to break out it's be by virus (most are by virus and on occasion occult shenanigans) and not all viruses affect universally?
And a bear-zombie or a moose-zombie is an AUTOLOSE for humanity D8.

Nope, I read the one on a Robot Uprising which in my opinion can be read as also the simple guide to being a rebel fighter. Also Ninmast, lay off the late night cheese. Its what could be giving you those strange dreams. Although I did have a strange dream last night that I couldn't go to school today because a moving truck was blocking off my street. You fear Moose and bear Zombies? I don't, mainly because I know a guy who knows a guy who killed the once worlds biggest grizzly bear with a .357 deer hunting revolver while it was charging at him.

Negative, I do not FEAR them per say but I know some hippie would leap in the way and say "SPARE THE ANIMALS MAAAAAAAN!" right before he was torn into several pieces. :]

I would say it would most likely be easy to shoot the hippie, but that would be a waste of ammo in my opinion. Oh and remember kids, when the zombies come, kill the hippies.

Speaking of my previous response to this topic, I dreamed that my room was drifting through space, and someone was knocking the door.
