Well I was bored the other day and went looking at some image posting sights for anything about weapons as I tend to do every so offten. I came across an interesting topic where a guy put down the senario for a "What if" there was a sudden zombie outbreak? Well seeing how this place doesn't have enough discussions that get people really talking about something that isn't going to piss someone(S) off, I thought I asked the very same thing here.
Will you be ready if a zombie outbreak suddenly happened in your hometown? Who do you think would be turned into zombies first? What would you do a zombie outbreak accured? Do you have your machetes, chainsaws, and shotguns ready? Could you kill your family or best friend if they turned zombie? What do you think the government would do if it actually happened?

My various swords and blunt-force objects are always at the ready. Then there's always the IBC 2006 sitting in my bag...maybe I could add the National CAD Standard to it... On the other hand, I don't have any zombie-proof armours. I suppose I'll just have to be sure to be the aggressor, then. I find it mildly amusing that "Zombie Nation" would begin to play as I open this thread...

Considering how far out I am, the odds of being affected are slim, but as sure as I'm ready for a wolf or burglar, I'm ready for a zombie.

My zombie plan? I'm moving to Greenland. *nodnod* Zombies can't survive in the cold. Also, I've been tracking down and recording the addresses of various local Naruto fanboys and fangirls to use a bait for the zombies.

Woah, sounds like Ninmast is packing heat.
Donut and I seem to be in the same boat when it comes to weapons. I don't have any guns... well... WORKING guns. I have two projectile weapons but only 14 rounds of ammo for them. Not to mention I'm not much of an archer. I do have some knives, but you never want to get that close when your fighting zombies. I do have some blunt force weapons, 2 wooden tonfas and a wooden sword but I have only limited training with those. I do have a hachet I could use that I'm good at using to chop down trees with, but still, not the best anti zombie weapon. If the zombie attack would happen some time after X-mas, then I might have a gun or two to use.

I developed a pretty good zombie plan, ive had over 40 people try and find a hole in it, none of them were able to bring up a flaw i didnt have a back up plan for. I even have a network over 200 people that are all ready with various weapons and such, i know 4 people who make their own guns, i have my own stock of melee weapons and guns, a place where everyone could live for extended periouds of time, vehicle access to heavy machinery and larger appartatus going from fire engines all the way to planes and helicopters that can all be stored in the designated area that would be my compound, so I got an army, weapons, vehicles, technicians, mechanics, medic staff and even a guy to hook up security systems, all in all i feel safe with my plan being able to be launched in a moments notice.

Go on Lotus, have your anti zombie compound. I move faster alone. Besides, a plan that big will fall appart. Unless you saw the zombies coming from about a week before the outbreak, the plan will fall appart.

See thats the beauty part of it, a big part of the plan consists of mowing down all zombies in a 15 block radius, raiding all housing within the area for food, weapons, clothes, etc. Using some radio equipment to broadcast out a signal to let people know where safety was and setting up a series of patrols using customized fire engines, buses, large trucks and anything else i deem acceptable and killing the undead. My role in the plan is making 4 calls, getting some weapons, going out to the areas where im supposed to meet up with certain members and going out on raids since im confident enough to be able to fight.
The only part that could screw up my plan is if their like dawn of the dead zombies who can run and sprint, those ones ive agreed wtih my group we would all be screwed for obvious reasons

See, a flaw. If you get the fast zombies, your doomed. If I get the fast zombies, I'll live. Also, raiding house won't work so well, even more so if the people in those house are alive and paranoid.

Head out to space, and hope your ship does not end up looking like Dead Space.

I have no zombie plans, myself, though I can't say I haven't thought it over. I'm trained with blunt weapons and practice four styles of martial arts, but like EJP pointed out, you don't wanna get that close. D'=
The way I figure, stay quiet, stay inside somewhere small enough to fully maintain, and don't, DON'T go out and see what that noise in the back yard was.

The friend you have over to keep you company probably will, though.

At least she can get to a friend. I'd like to see you get to a spaceship.
