I have been playing Fable II recently, and my experience with the game is very story-worthy. Would anybody here be interested in reading a (fan-fiction) story about the protagonist's twisted exploits in the world of Albion? To give you a hint of some of what I will write, here are a few events in the story I am thinking about: - "Feeding" a statue face by recruiting a paid henchman (minimum wage: 1 gold piece per in-game day) to collect live chicken and kick it into the statue face. The strangest part of all this? The statue eats it, and thanks us.
- Joining the Cult of Shadows, sacrificing a few innocents to earn their trust, wearing their garb and then offering my services to the Abbott in the Temple of Light. Ultimately plan to be the only one wearing this outfit, even if it means killing the Cult of Shadows.
- Tracking down and recruiting a sculptor to make a statue of me, farting. It's in the town square for everyone to admire now.
I can start soon. Remember: It's not for the lighthearted, and it could will offend some people.

I find it hilarious that dancing in the middle of a town for about 30 seconds is enough to get every person in the town to want to have sex with you. I don't know if a fan fiction is necessary, if you play the game, you experience it by itself. I'd read it if you wrote your own story line or made it severely different, otherwise I can just play the game myself.

I will add some dialogue and extra "scenes" for more flavor.
I will also say that I married a Gypsy lady, who got on my nerves and pushed me to sacrifice her in the Temple of Shadows. I now have a redhead Merchant housewife.

I think the whole thing is stupid and immature. If you're going to write something, make it something worth reading. Also, this goes in Story Advertising. This makes the second or third time I've had to move your threads around, Strategist. You HAVE to make sure you READ the summaries for each thread to make sure you're putting it in the right place instead of just putting it in the first one you see.

Well, Ninmast. I appreciate your opinion, but there are people who would like to read something like that, even if you don't.
I looked at the brief descriptions of different boards before I clicked on Elite Authors. The description was:
This is the spot to discuss anything concerning literature, a favorite work, passage, author, or discussion of one's own works as well as writing ideas all go here.
This is a writing idea, so I think my judgment is correct, even if it wasn't perfect.
As for Story Advertising, the description is:
Have a link to a story? Post it here.
I don't have a link to any story, so why should I post to this board? I think you either have to return the thread to its original board, or be more clear about what each board is for.

Woah woah Ninmast. Just because you dont like an idea doesnt mean you have to be so rude about it. I mean, I'm not particularly fond of the idea I admit, and he did ask for thoughts, but you could have phrased things better than that.
And although this probably isnt the right place, I'm looking at the description, and it is easy to get them confused from a new members point of view.

I wasn't trying to be rude. However, there are only so many ways to describe a story almost solely about things like kicking chickens and farting. Stupid, immature and not worth reading are about it. I mean no offense to Strategist and was not saying that he, himself, is any of the three. Those sorts of things are simply a childish "humor" that completely lacks creativity or maturity.

None taken, Ninmast.
You should probably wait until you actually come in contact with a piece of work before dismissing it as not worth your time. Regardless, I have decided against going forward with this story. You can go ahead and close this thread if you wish.
If anyone wants to talk to me about this thread, click the little yellow envelope under my name to the left.

Oh, I likely still would have read it. You simply asked for our opinions, and we can only form opinions based on what you've already given us. I was not dismissing it, merely saying that, given what you gave us, it did not sound worth writing.
