Its that time again: proboards is upgrading to proboards v 4.5 As with all upgrade times, we may lose some data.... The speed of the forums will have been increased dramtically after the update. Thats the main difference, along with some other features. As of now, the day to begin upgrading is Jan 2nd, 2007, meaning proboards is behind. Bug testing and and ironing is going well, when upgrade begins it will begin with server 43, it may take sometime before the EAB gets updated, as their are about 100 servers all with multiple forums, and updating all these forums can take some time, but we will get a message on the EAB before we are updated (either it will show up on the front page or the main PB admins will PM kainus from the support forum... yes they can do that....) the message will come approximately 24 hours before we are updated. To see what proboards v 4.5 is like go here, but i havent seen much of a difference yet besides the increase in speed and the maximum character limit for posts being increased from 25,000 to 60,000.

Update time again? Damn. Last time the EAB was down for a week and it took a few months before I'd stop getting one of those "Busy" messages which seriously prevented me from posting.
Truthfully, I don't see anything wrong with the way things are and feel they don't need to be fixed. Yes, I'm one of those people that go by if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Thank you for sharing this information, Marth, but you need not make announcements for it. We can handle it.

Wonder why. Maybe it's to make some changes in the coding of the sites. Programming is a bitch. And the link is still broken, but the FAQ page they had has disappeared. The support board is support.proboards.com . Don't put a www. in front of it cause you won't get anything. I need to talk to you, sonofmarth, about my site, so I'll leave it at that.
