As a part of a homework assignment for my creative writing class we had to bring in a picture of ourselfs when we were young(Some time before High school). I brought in a pic of myself at the El Toro Air show back in the early 1990s (I think I was in kinderguarden at the time). In the pic is myself sitting up on the gun turret of a Hummer H1 aiming an M2 Browning Heavy Machinegun. I think I wrote I poem for it, since this work you see below is what came to mind when I looked at the pic. So, would this be considered a poem? And if its not a poem, what is it?
The Little Marauder
He is small, but his weapon of choice is one of the biggest. He is young, while his weapon of choice is one of the oldest. He smiles everyday, While his weapon brings only sadness. He never hides and is always out in the open, While his victims run and cower in fear. He is the Little Marauder And his weapon of choice is a M2 browning 50.caliber belt fed heavy machine gun. His father must be proud.

It is a poem, if not a very good one.

I say yes. I agree with TS too. It's a pretty good one.

Of course this is a poem, and it's an alright poem. Feels a bit too hallmark-esque though, like I'd find this on the back of a birthday card for military enthusiasts. I like the opposite changes in tone from one line to the next, that gives it a good twist.
