[Yep, like everyone else, I'm trying to keep EAB alive.] So for discussion, what are you all majoring in (or majored in if you've graduated)? If you're still in high school, what do you plan on studying? You can tell what college you're going to if you want, or anything else relating to the subject; posts keep our site going!
For me, it's biomaterials engineering. That's basically the study of any kind of tissues or chemicals used in the human body and the way they're produced in a lab. It's a pretty broad subject, so it's hard to describe in just a few words... Pharmaceuticals and replacement joints or organs are all things produced through biomaterials engineering. It's a lot of math and biology. I haven't started college yet, but I'll be a freshman at Clemson this fall.
Okay, your turn if you so desire! ...................................................................................................
--EDIT-- A little more than a year later, and I have a completely different major. [Engineering? Math? What's that? I hate math!]
Yep, now I'm a Language and International Health major (still at Clemson U, though.) What that basically boils down to is a lot of Spanish courses, including a semester abroad, with some public health care administrative type courses (economy, statistics, law, management, etc.)
I still plan on doing the same thing with my degree as what I would've done with a Biomaterials Engineering degree, that being working for the CDC or the WHO. It's just that foreign language >> mathematics

Well, I'll put where I'm going to college too. I'm going to the University of Texas at Dallas to study computer science and natural science (physics). Although, I may just consolidate my studies to just computer science.
I can't wait to go to my college though, it's one of the more underrated and unknown Universities in the country for computer science, up there on the ranks of MIT. And they just got new freshman dorms that I'm staying in, it's gonna be so much fun. :3

"Architecture and Engineering Technology" is what they call it here, but it's more or less "CADD Monkey." Two more weeks, and that'll be done...should have my BS in Construction Management in two or three years more after that, depending upon how many of the GE courses I can get done during summer before then. Hopefully I can get the Project Management masters done around the same time; a lot of companies will readily hire PMs with good drafting experience.
Really though, I'm hoping to work on the Masters in Education when the CM degree is done, with or without the PM degree. It's really silly that you have to have a masters to teach in high schools up here... -_-

I can't possibly be the only Lit. major on the EAB. I've been at CSU San Marcos for a year almost and it's been ok in terms of how much I've been able to acquire as an actual writer.

Some brand of Entertainment Arts Major. Apparently ALL of the multi-versed schools I've looked at and applied to have extremely different names for it and a lot of SPOOKY LANGUAGE.
Basically I'm supposed to do design/concept and illustration for things like games and (lol) movies. I'm supposed to transfer soon as I've just finished my GEs, I know for a fact that unless I'm extremely lucky I won't be in the industry anytime soon but eh, something to work towards.
If it wasn't for the economy though I could have already started my own small business. >_>

I'm a Creative Writing major/Honors minor at Chapman University. Yeah, their Honors program here is a minor, haha...Anyway. I'm probably going to add another minor or major sometime in the future, but I'm not sure what. My calculus teacher told me I should minor in Mathematics, but I hate math and it's my worst subject! I just happen to really like calculus. Maybe law...My senior year high school Government teacher told me I was going to be a lawyer when I grew up, ha. Or Spanish, simply because I'm very good with languages and getting that as a minor, I've been told, is pretty simple. Meh, we'll see.

I'm at Fullerton College with Lupogun. Although I might change schools soon and go to Chapman University. I'm studying Administration of Justice, in other words, I'm trying to become a police officer. That way I can put all my crazy knowledge about weapons to use and maybe bust some drug dealers and help rid California of weed.
I'm also putting a little effort into learning about writing and maybe becoming a writer.
Hey Silva, I would suggest taking a police report writing class if you want to be a writer. It may sound like a bad idea, but you'll learn alot of helpful and useful things that you can transfer into just about any kind of writing.

Writing as a career, in any capacity, never really interested me, Silva. I'd rather keep it to just an occasional hobby; keeps it fun for me.
zandyne, you should probably get an internship somewhere; employers are more open to that kind of (sometimes) cheap labour.

I was originally Computer Maintenance and Repair, I'm presently in Computer Information Systems, though I may change it right to the point I'm after soon given that they just came up with a new degree that's better suited for what I'm after.

Thanks for the advice Teh Donut, I've actually sought out a few offers, I'm a bit wary of Craigslist though and for some reason there is a demand for "western ideal realism" which I'm not the best at providing. I got rejected for them, but on the other hand I feel content in knowing I have a bit more creative capacity and figure dynamics than their actual hired help. Course I shouldn't be looking at it like that and I should really be working on coloring and facial-feature diversity...
In truth though what actually limits a lot of my internship capabilities (well.... time in general) is the necessity to help the family business given how the economy is.

EJP, that's the most boring idea I've heard in a while. If anything I might just go straight to graduate school to be a journalist if novel ism is not lucrative enough.

Silva I can't guarantee that a police report writing class will be fun or interesting. For me it was fun and very interesting because the professor was an active S.W.A.T. officer for the city of Fullerton and also looked over alot of the police reports in the city. Not to mention if S.W.A.T. was ever called out, class was canceled... although that didn't happen once while I was taking the class. Now the class may sound boring and maybe even hard for someone who is not interested in anything that has to do with police work. However the class was not boring for me and thaught me a new writing style that I find very effective at getting a point across. Although I do tend to use the writing style as a joke when ever asked to write report about something that is less than 2 pages that involves me in some way. When (and "if" from the look of things) I get my super hero RP started, you'll be able to see an example of this writing style. Unless I change my mind and go with the 3rd person opening. I had the opening of the RP work shopped for my creative writing class and was told it need more dialog.
In short Silva, take a chance and take the class. If anything, you'll learn how police officer should/could act in many different senarios.

Uhhhhh......still in high school. Sophomore year, doing well. I intend(I've been set on it for a couple years now, so I think I'll end up sticking with it) to major in Mechanical Engineering, get my masters, and move into the U.S. Air Force if I haven't already; I'm either going to scholarship my way through(according to the public schooling system I'm rather intelligent) or I'll go into the U.S. Air Force and use that program to pay for college.

Forget it then. To Zandyne: I'd probably only cover local stuff that happens in San Diego, and whatever nonfiction stories I'd have, so I'd like to write for the SD City Beat or The SD Reader.
