(I feel late as hell in this)
I'm a music major, graduating with an AA this December. From there, I shall be dual-majoring in Rowan University as Music Education and Music Composition... and if I have any spare room in my classes, I want to take creative writing on the side.
I should be graduating with my BA in Composition/Education in about 2011 assuming I keep doing eighteen credits per semester (which is what I've been doing since I started college). I have yet to talk about getting a special signature from the department head to override the system and allow me to take more.
On a side note, what makes me a little... ticked/irked/annoyed/sad/depressed/blah (can't find the right word)... is that one of my closest friends is graduating from high school this year and is going to Full Sail in the fall. She'll be having her bachelor's degree before me thanks to accelerated programs (I think she said 24 months). I dunno... it feels weird that someone who graduated in '09 (I'm an '07 kid) is getting their bachelor's before me.
Just out of curiousity... anyone else here do that accelerated program stuff?

I don't do the accelerated program but I feel CHEATED that I didn't get to hear about it earlier. Oh well I'd probably be booted out anyway because I'm lazy as hell.

[glow=red,2,300]I graduated from Cal State Fullerton in May 2008 as a Liberal Studies Major; I got a B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Concentration on Elementary Education. (I don't recommend unless you are planning to get a credential as a Elementary Teacher and even then I would suggest American Studies, Anthropology, Child and Adolescent Studies, Comparative Religion, English, Ethnic Studies (Chicano or Asian American) Geography, Human Services, Philosophy, Psychology, or Sociology, because if you change your mind then you have another thing to fall back on.)
I changed my major to Speech and Language Pathology and not because the highest wage pay is 103,100$ and the medium is 72,800$ in California, but because I work better with children in small groups or one-on-one than in large groups.
Because I already have my B.A., I am looking to either get another B.A. or transfer to another school to get a M.A. Degree with a certification in Speech and Language Pathology from the A.S.H.A.

I'll be going to Queen's University for Politics next year, though I'm planning on transferring to Leiden University in the Netherlands for my second year.

I was homeschooled, got a GED, and have no predetermined future. I will go through life on the wind, jumping from food job to labor job to food job, eking out a living at minimum wage as another futureless, highly replaceable minnow in the great American sea.
But hey, I've got my good looks and a great personality. With that going for me, who knows? I might get to be a "Safety Marshal" at Wendy's someday. I believe the cap's at $9.00 an hour.
(Actually, the "plan" is to go to SAC in the fall, and get a two-year degree. Maybe then I'll know what to do with the next 50 years. This whole college thing is bullshit. I can add and boss people around just fine, dammit.)

I am going into the Navy. [Ha! As if a ninja needs a boat to cross water.]
I've just recently signed on as a Nuclear Propulsion Specialist, and will spend the next three years at or between boot camp and two colleges for my schooling. Soon after, I'll be an officer and spend my next twenty years in general relaxation until I retire at 38.... Pretty damn good if I do say so myself.

...damn, you people are so smart. I'm feeling a little less smart right about now, and I usually feel smart in my classes. I'm majoring in Media Studies under Mass Communications, and I'll be graduating in 2011 with an honors degree from HELP University College. (Yes. Itty-bitty Malaysian University, but I want to do my masters overseas IF I CAN AFFORD IT.) And, Flamie, I'm much later than you.
