Would anyone be interested in writing contests? Basically, we'd have a new section in the Writing portion of the EAB and we'd come up with a concept or picture and then the aspiring participants would write a short story related to that. The entries would then be judged and a winner would be chosen.
Would this appeal to anyone?

Maybe. Although, after writing about 5,000 words at once, I get really drained. I can't write anything longer than that without losing interest really. What's going to be the length and requirements, or is that something to be decided later?

There will probably be a minimum of, say, 700 words, but so long as it's still a short story, the maximum length would be up to the writer.

I say go for it. We are the Elite Author's Board, after all, so more writing is always a good thing.

I'd love to hear from some of the rest of the staff on this, too.

Rest of the staff? Me and Kainus, right?
Ehh. You guys have fun, I'd just go, "YEAH I'LL DO THIS," and never do it. Just keepin' it real.

Go for it. I probably won't be joining, but go for it.
