(Okay, this is a short Sonic the Hedgehog fic. It's not too impressive, but it's the only one I'd show to public eyes nowadays.)

I wake up. The sound of machinery rings in my ears. The clanging of steel on steel flies through the air. I get up and put on my usual red suit and black pants. I walk past my gallery, my best works - or whatever is left of them - line the walls. I stride past the E-Rider, the old Egg-O-Matic, even a few pieces of the first Death Egg, though you’d never know it by looking at it. Making my way to my command center, an eggpawn hands me my usual cup of coffee. Two cream and a sugar. I sometimes wonder why I replaced robians with them. Perhaps I might bring back the robians, have a bit of tag-teaming with the eggpawns. After finishing my coffee I head along to my labrotory. It’s plotting time.
Sitting down in my favourite cushioned chair, I lay out a few blueprints for my latest weapon. I sit there, watching it, I fear I may have lost my touch. Deep down, I already know this plan won’t work. I take the blueprint and crumple it up into a ball. I toss the paper wad into the garbage. Getting up, I pause. Superweapons haven’t worked, plotting against other people hasn’t worked. What can I do to finish off that annoying Hedgehog? Kidnaping, been there, the Mecha Bots, done that. Reaching closer to a glass tank I was walking to, I continue thinking. Am I done for? Have I finally hit a dead end? No, I must continue trying.
Taking the cloth over the glass tank, I whip it off. Behold, I little trick I pulled. After Shadow destroyed the Black Comet, it hit me. Shadow killed the alien leader, but he didn’t kill all the aliens. The larvae before me pulse and squirm around. I took the spawn, since they would be early in their development and easier to bring them to my side. Soon I could have my own alien army, if they survive and obey. Perhaps, I could even have a few robotisised aliens. Now, what to do while they mature? I walk out of the lab, now’s not the time to think about that, now’s the time for lunch.
I sit down alone at a table. Another eggpawn brings me a platter. I take it and set it in front of me. I take a big bite out of my egg salad sandwich. I take the rest of my lunch with me as I walk out to oversee the production of my army. I walk along, seeing the organized ranks. Finally the plan dawned on me. I call over one of the eggpawn commanders.
“Now listen closely.” I say. I gesture for the commander to follow me. I bring him to my old archives. “I want you to begin production on these.” I take out the old plans for the robians. “Mass produce them along with the eggpawns, take all measures necessary to keep the usual quota per day of eggpawns and keep the same soldier per quota for these.” The commander saluted and walked out. I walk to more plans. I pull out old plans. The Egg Carrier, The Flying Battery, The Wing Fortress. All three of these airships were good. Perhaps new, upgraded versions would greatly bolster the Eggman fleet.
Finishing my lunch, I go to the R and D room. I take these plans, turning them over in my mind. Finally I start drawing schematics. Upgrades start appearing on the blueprints. Finishing enough for today, I head to my new Egg Walker. The legs retract and it goes into its hover mode. Out of the base I fly, off to scout once again for that hedgehog Sonic.
I hate having to scout out that hairball. However, in order to make sure my plan works, I have to know he is not in the way. I check a few monitors I have installed into my Egg Walker. They display visual feedback to me through various cameras I have hidden. I find Sonic on one of them. He was in Station Square, that was fortunate, as it was quite far from my base at the moment.
I am about to turn back when I see something in the air, something….blue. Double checking, I look at the monitor where I saw Sonic. Sonic was still there, and Sonic can’t fly either… wait, blue, flying… the Tornado! I was right, that fox boy and his detestable vehicle were heading my way. I don’t think they have seen me yet. I descend into the forest below. The boy and his plane fly by. It was then I realized that I had taken the Tornado out before in my trusty Egg Walker.
I fly back up, I already have a missile lock on the Tornado, I fire and watch as the guided weapon soars through the air towards the fox. Soon before it strikes however, that stupid child pulls a full loop! I hate that kid! The missile flies away into a tree. My cover blown, I try another lock, dodging an incoming laser blast from my enemy’s ride. I fire again, this time accompanying the shot with a spray of gunfire. A hit! Tails’ plane caught fire, and he made an emergency landing in the forest. I am sure he will repair the plane, but my small victory makes me feel elated.
I know that flying down to deal with Tails would make Sonic much more furious than merely shooting down the Tornado, and right now, I can’t afford to deal with Sonic. I fly back to my base just in time for supper. Fried chicken, and well earned at that. I sit and observe as more production goes underway. I contemplate a few more plans, perhaps making another E-Series model. Speaking of which, I haven’t seen Omega causing any damage as of late, maybe I got lucky and that hedgehog did him in, it’s doubtful though…
I walk back to my room, resting on my bed. Slowly I drift to sleep. After all, tomorrow will be another big day.
