Name: Steven also known as the Evermind. A future version of eabii.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=epicau&action=display&thread=2051 and eabii.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=characters&action=display&thread=2049
Age: 58
Gender: Male
Race: Mechanically altered humanoid
Alignment: Chaotic neutral
Power Level: 6 tentative, what do others think?
Timeline: modern/postmodern
Appearance: Steven's appearance has changed drastically in recent years and now not much of his humanity is left. A few years before an accident with his own basement lab caused horrible burning. He replaced his flesh with metal and has slowly become less and less human. The single ring of mechanical brain surrounding his neck has grown and now there are four of them to hold all the backups for his mind. Each of the 4 rings is a different model of his RBU. None of these models are commercially available. Most of his skin is gone and in it's place is white metal made to simulate his skin color and with sensors allowing for touch sensations. His original robotic hands are still a part of his design and unlike the rest of his now mostly mechanical body they are still silvered in color. He still looks human from a distance with a coat of some kind on to cover his 'improvements'
Personality: Steven's personality always a little unstable has begun to deteriorate rapidly as a result of all the increase in computers and technology that now makes up the majority of his body and brain. His old delusions of self importance have truly begun to bloom and now he starts to really view himself as superior. He feels little to no respect for normal humans anymore but he also feels that for the moment it is best to continue to upgrade himself while occasionally giving out a bone from his now vast number of robotic inventions. A slightly warped logic has become all important in his mind. He will not make an illogical action and is even less able than before to comprehend illogical actions by others. His own warped logic has made him decide that he with his superior intellect should rule but as of yet he does not have the capacity to do so and so does not take action of that sort.
History: Steven continued for years to do much as he had done before. He build upgrades and upgraded and replaced parts of himself though he still liked to keep some of his features and wouldn't go past a certain point in converting himself. He was though willing to install more of the RBUs into himself and has wired them into a network with his own brain. While his intelligence could not rise any further than it's already rather immense heights the speed of his processing and his ability to download and learn from data could increase.
A few years ago though Steven while experimenting with a new laser weapon succeeded in creating a minor explosion. Minor in that it was not detected anywhere aside from his basement where it came from. It was however rather damaging to Steven. His skin was blistered and burned and he had suffered some major damage to the nervous tissue in the skin he still had. Not to mention that in places the explosion had seared his clothing into his skin.
With this as a realization that his human body was to fragile to be allowed to house his as he called it Evermind, he began to replace the burned sections of his body and to work as well to simply overhaul the rest of it as well. He would over the course of the next three years replace the bones in his body, most of his skin, his muscles and at long last his near sighted eyes. With his new improvements came new goals and he retired from running his company. He still receives a fair portion of the profits though as after all he holds the patents on almost all the products the company sells.
He still spends about the same amount of time in the lab in his home that he spent before. Much of the rest of his time is spent downloading manuals and programs of fighting styles and other things after all as a machine of sorts for him to an extent learning is knowing how to do things.
Powers:
Far seeing- He has at last replaced his eyes with optic orbs that glow green which he now hides behind sunglasses when he must go out. He is still capable of far seeing and he still uses the power regularly to keep up to date on what is happening outside of his large bunker like house.
Robotic enhancement- Steven's body is now more machine than man. Many organs such as the heart still remain but encased in a protective exoskeleton of metal. The heart is kept to continue to pump blood rich in oxygen to his original brain as he has not yet been willing to give up his original and function solely on his robotic units. His reflexes are enhanced by giving his mechanical brains control over reflex and leaving his organic mind mainly for the highest of his thinking functions.
Lasers- Steven has at last discarded his ancient outdated laser pistol and in the overhaul of nearly his entire body he expanded on the lasers in his fingers making them more powerful and capable of firing like laser weapons rather than as a sort of cutting tool.
Metal bones- Steven has replaced most of his bones with metal as well and overhauled his joints allowing for him to bear far greater stress than his human body could previously withstand.
Blades- The tips of his fingers are now capable of sprouting significantly longer blades and now he actually has some idea what to do with them, through experience.
Telekinesis- Steven with the addition of significantly higher processing and brain power is now capable of enhanced telekinesis. He can pick up a car with it, while not the most impressive level of telekinesis it is not to be overlooked.
Strength- Steven is now significantly stronger than a normal human and much of his skin having been replaced with a metal stronger than steel has made him able to punch through steel himself and while he would be hard pressed to lift something as heavy as a concrete building he is more than capable of using a car as a bludgeon.
Martial arts- He with more than one calibrated brain in his body has educated them and programmed in the martial arts he used to lack, He can now actually utilize the skills as his artificial brains supply the knowledge.
Equipment: He no longer carries his laser pistol preferring instead to rely on his own body.
Weakness: He is still socially awkward, and now to most people would appear monstrous. At one point in his life he would have cared that he appeared monstrous but now he has ceased to care so much. He still has human organs and because of his unwillingness to change he did decide to integrate pain sensors into his suit. He still will experience pain though he can shut that function off if he needed to. His human organs can still be destroyed or damaged and while that wouldn't necessarily kill him it would cripple him. Bullets tend to bounce off his new skin but shoot enough at him and some will get through and cause damage to his internal organs. An EMP that he is not shielded against would now be quite a more significant problem than before as he would be unable to control his own body effectively without his mechanical brains to diversify what is done. He is not so human anymore and can replace or repair broken parts given enough time to do so. Note he cannot repair his original organic brain and though he could in theory function without it, it is just as likely that he would cease to exist with it's destruction. Finally doing illogical things will greatly throw him off as by this point he really doesn't understand them very well. Finally he cannot use energy manipulation or detect it's use.
