It's kinda the reason for the season (maybe half of the reason, actually), and yet any threads about presents are always "get get get" and "me me me." So, lets spin it around a bit, because I'm actually a little curious as to how hopelessly decadent our overcommercialised society really is.
So what, if anything, did you give this holiday season? Doesn't have to be Christmas gifts. It can just be holiday gifts, because "we don't judge." *uncrosses fingers*

Well, let me see here...
I got the oldest of my two sisters a teddy bear. She's been asking for one since November, so... yeah, I figured it'd be a good idea. She loved it.
The smallest of the pair, I got All Dogs Go To Heaven. I thought maybe she'd like it, she likes both animals and music, and we're always looking for something new for her to watch.
I got my mom a bottle of Yellow Tail Shiraz, she loves the stuff and I wanted to get her something out of the ordinary.
My dad, I got this nice salt and spice mix I found at this new shop that's opened up at the mall. We're both big spice buffs, so this gives us something fresh and new to try out.
Now, ah... Velvet Pillow I got a novelty shirt and a pair of earrings I paid out of the nose to get...

Lets see, I got my Mom A Beatles CD, 1 kitchen towel, and a oven mit. I went in on a gift for my dad that was some sort of power multie tool. I got my sister a gift card to Starbucks thus feeding her addiction for coffee. I went in with my sister on a necklace for my older cousin that my sister picked out since I didn't have a clue as to what to get my older cousin. Oh and I got my grandpa a cheap $6 bottle of wine that had a smiley face on it.
I still need to get a gift for my younger cousin who is only 1 year old. Any suggestions that are not weapon based toys since I've been told not to get him those............. yet? So far he has gotten a rocking horse, some car thing that he can ride and makes tons of noise, and a hockey stick that is just his size.

I got my mother a new computer mouse (she really needed one, the one she had was missing the piece that held in the little ball), I got my dad a new car adapter that turns one cigarette lighter into two (he doesn't smoke, he just plugs a whole bunch of stuff into his car), I got my older sister a soap and shampoo set for their bathroom, my younger sister some hair accessories, and my brother a DVD that he already has (whoops!)
