Name: Claire Amherst
Age: Approx. 420
Gender: Female
Race: Vampire
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Power Level: Potentially High-tier Medium, though often performs significantly sub-par
Timeline: Modern
Appearance: Easily considered "cute," but lacking enough curves to be "beautiful," Claire's appearance of a young woman in her late teens or very early twenties has gone largely unchanged outside of wardrobe selection for the last four centuries. Her pale skin is without blemish and creamy white, her inky-black hair has been left in roughly the same easily-maintained style, with her long bangs brushed to either side and her hair pulled up and tied in back, and her large, expressive eyes, though red since her turning when they were once blue, still sit above a pert, upturned nose. She likes blue and most of her clothes are of that color variety. Little pearl earrings are pinned to her ears.
Personality: Claire usually means well. She really does. She's just a complete and hopeless source of Fail. A walking incarnation of Murphy's Law. If you hand her anything breakable, it will break. If you hand her anything unbreakable, it will probably still break. It doesn't matter what precautions or how many are taken to ensure she succeeds at something. She will find that one niche, that one opportunity, that one fluke of a moment to fail.
She's also extremely cowardly and weak-willed. She is afraid of the dark, afraid of getting mugged (despite having the strength to throw off ten men with ease), afraid of sharp objects, afraid of black cats, afraid of broken mirrors, afraid of ...
Claire is generally a nice person, though dedicated to accomplishing something and proving she can be an effective vampire, which typically leads to one of her sorry excuses for a hunting expedition.
A scenario typical of her level of Fail:

History: Claire was born in France late in the 16th Century. She grew into adulthood with significantly more slips, falls, broken dishes and cooking accidents than any normal child, though she always seemed to somehow escape serious harm, herself, even if those around her were not always so fortunate.
Her luck finally seemed to run out one evening when she missed the carriage from town because she had to return to the grocer because she dropped her food because she slipped on a loose cobble because ... One could always trace the reasons back for hours with the girl, but the end result was that she was stumbling through the city streets long after dark because she got lost trying to find her way home and happened to fall right at the feet of a vampire just stepping out to find an evening meal.
Surprised, but not ungrateful to the fates, the vampire drained his delivery meal dry and turned around on his heels and went back inside, leaving her to gasp her last in the dark night air. But her extraordinarily bad luck came to her rescue once again, and her seemingly nonexistant fortitude managed to endure long enough for her to turn instead of simply perish.
Four hundred years later, despite not having aged a day, she still thinks very much like a skittish little human and has accomplished little of merit. She lives in a college town where she can blend in easily and primarily lives off the local blood bank or the animals of outlying farms, since she is so incapable of hunting for herself.
Powers:
Equipment: None, she's far too clumsy for anyone to trust with a knife and she's scared silly of guns, despite them being largely incapable of actually harming her.
Weakness:

Powers:
- Vampiric Strength - Claire has the strength of twenty-five men, though she breaks more coffee cups at the cafe she works at than she does bones.
- Vampiric Agility - Claire has the capacity to respond with extreme dexterity and inhuman speed, though she is so inept and clumsy that this usually doesn't see the light of day (no pun intended) unless she's fleeing for her unlife.
- Vampiric Speed - Claire has the ability to sprint at inhumanly-fast speeds, commonly utilized when she is running late. That makes this perhaps her most-used ability. Despite this, she still regularly misses the bus, however.
- Vampiric Regeneration - Were she injured, Claire would heal at a rate far superior to a human, particularly if she took in blood to speed the process. Thanks in part to her own seemingly supernatural aversion to harm despite her talent in finding it and in part to just plain cowardice, however, she rarely encounters a situation where this is required.
- Vampiric Sight - As a vampire, Claire possesses both perfect nightvision and the ability to see the life energy of others. As she is terrified of the dark, however, she usually doesn't use this and prefers a really big flashlight.
- Vampiric Senses - All of Claire's senses are supernaturally sharp, which makes her an ideal tenant at her apartment, because unlike most of her "peers," she keeps the volume on her television and radio particularly low. Her nose also makes sure she knows the moment Miss Carlisle, her boss, pulls out one of her fresh pies from the oven.
- Vampiric Flight - Claire can use her vampiric energies to fly and make supernatural leaps far surpassing the range of even her own prodigious strength. Unfortunately, you guessed it, she's petrified of heights.
Equipment: None, she's far too clumsy for anyone to trust with a knife and she's scared silly of guns, despite them being largely incapable of actually harming her.
Weakness:
- Holy objects cause varying degrees of unpleasantness to her depending on how blessed they are, how potent they are and how close they are.
- Fire-inflicted injuries will not regenerate despite her powers without the consumption of blood.
- She can't enter a building owned by a living person without permission.
- More than just a bare moment of sunlight is lethal to her. Though still unpleasant, hot and invoking a feeling not unlike sunburn on uncovered skin, however, she can go out during the day with the use of powerful, high-end sunblock. She usually smells like coconut as a result.
- Oh, and she's a complete klutz and scaredy-cat, if you hadn't gathered as much already.
