[Proper accreditation~ This idea has been adapted from a tabletop/freeform crossover from the minds of my two friends Justin Tallant and Chris Tarras.]
Once upon a time the people were united in a beautiful peace that was acceptant to all races and held equal opportunities for everyone regardless of who they were... Yeah, right.
The planet of Mithaesia has always been plagued by constant war among the several factions that rise and eventually fall. The closely oriented continents makes it all too easy for everyone to think they are capable of conquering everything else, and for some reason even though no one succeeds, the new faction leaders still try with oblivious fervor.
The planet itself has been racked by the fluctuating flows of life energies and the planet has been plunged into an even darker Dark Age than anyone could have ever foreseen. Though the terrain and wildlife around them twist onto horrid shells of their former selves, the factions continue to fight over the desolate lands of Mithaesia.
Several mercenary groups have been forming lately to profit from the disaster. They now get payed for what they have always loved and were always good at. The blood spills further into the soil. You are one of these mercenaries, just trying to survive and feed yourself though these truly desperate times, but soon you find that you may be more important to the planet than you originally expected as you and a batch of misfit, half-heroes begin to unravel the mystery behind this endless war.
Edit: These will only require a 20 sided die to play. I'll be trusting you all to honor your rolls.
For reference we will have 2 kinds of rolls to deal with. You will post the results of your roll(s) at the opening of your post so I can judge how appropriate the post is.
Action Rolls- Before you act you will roll a d20 to determine the severity your action will be capable of. The higher your roll, the more damaging attacks you can unleash while being accepted.
Dodge Rolls- Any attack not melee can be dodged. Roll and add your agility, then subtract the attacker's Int. If it is higher than the action roll you are dodging, you are succesful.
Edit: Forgot something in the Dodge Roll. Fixed. That was almost a huge nerf for Rangers...
