Appearance: Andrew is a naturally slender man, and of roughly average height. He has straight brown hair cropped short so to not get in the way of his equally brown eyes. He has very pale skin, that looks unhealthily so and it feels cool to the touch instead of warm. He prefers to wear light loose fitting blue and white garments and carries around with him a short staff covered in sapphires. He keeps three small pouches on him, two around his waist and one danging around his neck. His gloves are a light blue and have small slits in them that magically contain wands.
Personality: Andrew is moderately talkative, and prefers money and power over helping others. Although, he isn't willing to go for money or power that has him hurting innocent people, killing criminals or corrupt rulers is another story.
He doesn't like to rush right into a fight, and would rather plan out a fight or if possible negotiate away around fighting. Although while in a fight, he generally uses large AoE's and slowly freezes people with the supernatural cold. Though when he's dealing with someone while fighting as a group, he does pull out his more focused spells to freeze his enemies.
History: Andrew was raised in an upper class household near the equator, where it was very warm. And he despised the temperature and the weather for being as harsh and unforgiving as it is, even from a very young age.
When in his early adolescence began displaying the signs of magic, he was exiled for his sorcery instead of hanged as his parents normally did in cases of sorcery. When he left, he took with him a sum of gold coins, and headed north to the cooler weather he dreamed of. All the while, he practiced and tried to control his magic.
Eventually, he did make it to the cold reaches of the world, and his magic strengthened as the cold licked at his body. His magic had a link to cold, and it empowered him. So, with the help of the cold, he practiced his magic.
One day, while he was practicing his magic, a traveler wandered by and saw him. This traveler was not just a mage himself, but a teacher at an academy for wizards and recruited Andrew to learn there.
And he learned there for just over a year, before he decided to move along. Venturing out into the cities near the academy, he was recruited to deal with a corrupt legislator, which he did and that caught the attention of a few of the other legislators. One of which knew enough about mages to track one down and have him banish Andrew to a frozen wasteland to prevent anymore deaths by his hands - he was the partner of the legislator Andrew killed.
During his time in the wasteland, his powers flourished and quickly he became strong enough to break free of his prison. But he stayed, since he wasn't aging any, though his magical might was growing rapidly. Shockingly, within the wastelands, there were people and magical creatures - some of which Andrew used and consorted with to help enhance his powers.
Finally, when he did leave he was magically quite strong and capable of handling most things he encountered.
Powers: Magic - Andrew is an extremely powerful frost mage, harnessing a wide array of magical spells but all of his stronger spells are frost spells. He has a number of cold spells capable of ignoring magical resistances to cold.
Natural Immunity to Cold - Andrew's time spent in the wastelands studying magic, included how to infuse his essence with the essence of the cold and ice around him. Which left him immune to both natural and supernatural cold, but making him highly venerable to the heat and fires.
Cold Flesh - Andrew's combined essence also hardened his skin, protecting him about as much as wearing scalemail armor. Enough to help against people of normal strength, but the supernaturally inclined fighters find the difference meaningless.
Equipment: Glacialis - this bleached white wooden staff is encrusted with blue sapphires, and houses a large amount of magical power in it's own right. It is able to create blizzards, frostbolts, and freeze water with a touch. Unless someone has resistance or immunity to the cold, the staff itself with quickly freeze someone that holds it.
Wands - Andrew has wands of various strength and powers, specifically he has wands of control weather, wall of ice, ice storm, fly, frostbolt, and life stealing.
Potions - held in the pouch around Andrew's neck. Most of them are healing potions, while he has a few potions that provide him with magical protection equal to that of full (steel) plate armor.
Weakness: The heat and fire magic.
Creatures that are naturally immune or resistant to cold magic.
Physically weak compared to an equivalent level fighter.
Specific Magical Spells
Ice Blast - Creates a large chunk of ice and hurls it an area to bury and freeze everyone caught in it's way.
Entomb - Quickly freezes the area around someone or a group of people to encase them in supernatural ice.
Fell Frost - Quickly drops the surrounding area's temperature to freeze people in place and coats objects in ice. Water in the area instantly freezes trapping anyone inside. This also empowers frost spells a bit, and the extreme cold can quickly cripple and kill people that are not protected against it.
Blizzard - Creates a massive snowstorm that hinders visibility and the cold bites away at unprotected people.
Frostbolt - Creates a concentrated blast of cold energy that can freeze people in place or even skewer or cut people when it shatters on impact.
Freezing Glance - Infuses his eyes with cold energy, allowing him to freeze people in place by simply making eye contact. Although, resisting is possible, and it only holds someone in place for a short amount of time, unless they are attacked. Being attacked either physically or magically by something else instantly breaks the freeze.
Winter - Drops the regions temperature and weather to that of colder climates. Has a very long casting time, but last for many weeks.
Control Weather - Raises or lowers the area surround himself by a significant degree. Goes out a few hundred feet.
Conjure Ice Beast - Creates a monster or animal out of solid ice. He can even use it to replicate someone else, though it is never as magically strong as any mage replicated. And against powerful fighters, it lacks a lot of their strength. Often used to make groups of mobs to be a better distraction.
