As some of you know, I got the PC game Spore for X-mas. Although I had the game, I couldn't play it for many months due to having 1, a shitty internet connection, 2 a shitty computer, 3 my shitty computer died, and 4 the "new" PC I got was broken before I ever used it. Well it took me a long wait but eventually I got the necessary upgrades and have been playing Spore quite often in my free time. So I thought I'd start this topic and find out who else out there is playing Spore.
For anyone who plays, you can easily look me and my creations up under the name EJP_Gallant or simply do a search with "EJP" as the search and you should be able to find my stuff. Despite my reputation here, I don't make any sporn. Yes... a few of my creatures have been given a poisonous spit gland that resembles an anus... and is positioned where the anus would be, but other than that there is nothing hentai or pornographic related. The "poisonous anus" was added simply to be funny for those few creatures. Anyway... I mostly make creatures and spaceships. My spaceships are what I take the most pride in.
Oh and if you do play, leave your name and I'll look you up.

You should make Digimon. Cause Pokemon's already been done. Make some Spore Digimon

There are some already. I've seen them. Just search "anime" and you'll find both pokemon and digimon. I'm not into making Iconic or corporate owned creatures, ships, buildings, or vehicles. The most I've done in that way was make some retro old school spaceships. Stuff like you'd find in the old Flash Gordon.

I won't get Spore. It has built-in spyware that bogs down the computer.

The game comes with SecuRom, which automatically installs itself when you install the game, there's no way to stop it and the game won't work without it. SecuRom sends all sorts of information back, including even your Windows logon.

Hopefully my "expensive" fire wall and virus protection program is up and working against it. That or your information is wrong. Why would Maxis allow this?

EA made it, and they allow it because they put it in there. It's supposed to be an anti-piracy step, but it does it regardless. And you can't block it because when it installs, it sets itself up an open port.
