Since there isn't a topic about Guild Wars, yet, I'll be taking the liberty to start it. Starting off, *drum roll* I'll talk about the original Guild Wars; Prophecies, followed by each expansion in order of release.
Prophecies is by far my least favorite of the Guild Wars series? its by far, the slowest place to level because its too far spread out with few quests in between. The fastest mode of travel across the map, other than runs, is most likely doing the missions, each increasingly difficult.
Factions on the other hand, is all about leveling as fast as possible in order to access end game quests and missions. All of which makes Prophecies seem like a walk in the park.
Nightfall, I haven't dug too deep into this one yet, but the level difference in groups of enemies is unreal, having level 4's and 6's sitting beside level 15's!
Eye of the North, well its all about level 20, more so than Factions, because it makes you an effective level 20 as long as you are there and under level 20. Though its got a few good perks, its harder than Factions.
I personally, have all of them, and lean more towards the more support classes, Monk and Paragons, though I've unlocked every skill in Guild Wars, since my long stay there.

Personally, Prophesies is my favorite out of the entire series. You're right about it being slow, but really, that's why I like it so much; since the game only allows you to go up to level 20 (compare to level 40, 60, 70, and 99+ in most other mmo games), it actually makes that achievement of the next level seem so much more "special".
Prophesies is also probably the most visually stunning of the three; it starts you off in a gorgeous, lush, early-autumn environment, which can be fully enjoyed at the highest graphics level upon even the crappiest of machines due to the fact that you're effectively alone outside of towns; it only gets better after that, too. Compared to prophesies, I wasn't especially impressed with the environments of the others...
It's all about preference, really; what are you specifically, looking for in an mmo? I like the roleplay, community, and experience...there are those who join mmo for the pvp, and still others to be the freakishly powerful solo artist of the big bad boss guys. As Veros illustrated, all of the installments cater to a specific interest; if you don't see what you're looking for in the one you're playing, you'll probably find it in another.

Well, I'm a full blown PvE'er, sometimes though, I'll let Lance try his hand at my warrior just to fall to the fact that in the middle of combat it has 1.3k hp and 136 armor at times from just 4 skills and equipment. If you doubt me, I'll even link you my build. Just ask the character Blake Iodine, my Paragon and Sunspear General, along with Survivor, as of this afternoon.
I love going for titles. They are amazing, currently I'm working on Indominatible Survivor, Sweet Tooth, and Drunkard. I'd love to get to be a Warmarshal and a Legendary Survivor, but I'm about 1.4 million exp away from there.
I can't stand soloing, its boring and easy, I could solo level 24's at level 11, using the classic 55 monk build though I converted it into a 33 monk build so it survived better until it leveled a lot, at which point I had to drop the health a dab, by converting a minor to a major or a major to a superior.
Getting me off Ventrilo with my guild members while I'm in Guild Wars is impossible, we're always talking about one thing or the other, Cherry Drop Cycle (Amanda) is the best, when ever she's in one of our parties golds keep getting dropped by level 12's, she also makes us look back, with her running in their with that scythe of doom Farmer's Scything everything. Freaking insta-recharge.

*uses Resurrection Signet on this thread*
I figured there was a thread here. No sense starting my own.
I was wondering if there is anyone else who does play or has played the Guild Wars? Or even, who might be interested? Recently I've just been going around trying to earn my titles for things (mostly includes me running around like a madman, trying to find bits of map I missed for my cartography).
Seeing if there's anyone else who's in the same boat, because it's much more fun to play together than play alone. *nods*
