Appearance:
While her flaming red hair and deep green eyes often attract attention, Kitty’s shape leaves something to be desired – namely the curves that might hold a man’s attention once she got it. Her pixie face and the body of a fifteen year old Olympic gymnast often lead her to be mistaken for jailbait, and there isn’t a bar in Austin that doesn’t card her every time that she walks in. She might have been a model if she could be bothered to care about her appearance, but she couldn’t. Her 5’0” frame was considered well dressed in her good jeans and a sparkly tank top. After, she usually covered herself with her old, baggy jeans and a series of aging T-shirts advertising video games and bands that today’s youth knew nothing about. Even in the office, she refused to follow the dress code of casual business attire. While her appearance at meetings might be remarked upon behind her back, she got away with it because she happened to be that good on the systems – really that good and not just considering herself to be that good. In the heat of an Austin summer, she pulled her hair back in a ponytail. In the winter, it hung straight down her back. Regardless of the season, she usually remembered to brush it, and regardless of the occasion, she never considered makeup to be an option. Kitty was what she was – cute in that unconsidered way of puppies and kittens, and while she would have hated that description, she could never have denied it.
Personality:
Everybody’s favorite programmer might have lacked somewhat in appearance, but she had personality in spades. Unfortunately, most of it was framed in what society might refer to as a piss poor attitude. She was a “take no shit, make no excuses” kind of girl, and she expected that, among many other things, from anyone nervy enough to stay around her for long. It wasn’t that she didn’t like people because she did. It was more of a personal belief that stupidity ought to be painful, not to mention culled from the gene pool. To the people she worked with and for, she was the smartest, most creative bitch in the building, and they put up with it like they put up with her appearance because they had more to gain by keeping her than losing her. To those that she called friends, often found on the web, she was unfailingly giving and compassionate. However, everyone knew that there was no telling Kitty what to do or when to do it. She moved to the pace of some ever distant drummer and couldn’t keep him with him, even.
History:
To be short and sweet and to the point, Kitty was born and raised in the middle of nowhere, in a climate where girls were barefoot and pregnant and happy about it. She dreamed of getting out, and she did. However, getting out came with its own price. She grew ever distant from her family – the grandmothers who taught her to cook and sew, the father who taught her to hunt, the mother who attempted to teach her manners and style, and the brothers who had given her plenty of opportunity to practice the karate moves that she picked up in class. High school was boring, and college wasn’t much better. She learned quickly and usually surpassed the other students within weeks and teachers by the end of the year.
She stayed local for her undergrad work although she moved into her own apartment, supporting herself with freelance web design projects and consulting. Then, she left town completely to settle in Austin, TX for her M.S. There she stayed, working long, hard, and late, mastering D&D 3.5 ed., and having the occasional night out with friends and acquaintances. It wasn’t the exciting life that she once dreamed about, but it was her life – built out of dream clouds and far from anyone who even thought about telling her what to do with it. With those kinds of qualities, how could it be wrong?
October 21, 1979 - Born the youngest of three children, not to mention the only girl, in Pumpkintown, SC.
1984 – Entered by her mother into her first, and last, beauty pageant.
1986 – Begins to join father on hunting trips during the fall.
1989 – Becomes a bit of a family disgrace by insisting on karate instead of piano lessons.
1995 – Discovered the world of BBSs and online RP.
1997 – Graduated high school with awards in math and computer science under her belt.
2001 – Yet again disgraces a traditional family by graduating from with Clemson University with a BS in Computer Science as opposed to to a BA in Education.
2002 – Worked in the corporate world for a hosting company. Charitably built and revamped RP and web-comic sites that she felt deserved her attention.
2003 – Bored with building SQL databases and monitoring web space, she goes back for an MA at the University of Texas – Specializing in New Application Creation in C, C++, and C# - with a thesis that revolutionized the Texas State Board of Education database usage
2004 – Employed by the State of Texas in a managerial capacity yet she often quietly sabotages projects that she feels will negatively impact the quality of education any given student receives.
2007 – Continues to work for the Texas State Board of Education and often assists ailing sites and such with advertising and free web design work and hosting.
Powers:
1. Skilled in karate and general self-defense with body and knives
2. Effective with the pistol and rifle
3. Mad computer skills in Java, HTML, C, C++, C#, PhpBB, SQL, Pascal,
Basic, graphic design, anything IBM or Microsoft ever dreamed of making,

1. Always carries a taser and pepper spray – safety first
2. Can improvise blunt and sharp weapons
3. Familiar guns but never “packs”

2. Prone to slightly idiotic and random acts of valor and kindness

4. Only skilled in classroom fighting and the occasional barroom brawl
5. Was trained to shoot by hunting but abhors killing, even in self- defense
