Underwater, the girl let herself float gently downwards as she crossed her arms and legs as if sitting, bubbles rising gently. A few moments later, a brief glow surrounded her, and Terry was in her place in the same position. The question was now, which form to use? Fish Face seemed obvious underwater, but that guy could miss and zap him. Definitely not something he wanted ...
Finally, he settled on what his original choice was going to be. He rolled the dial about and hit the button ... and hoped Metal Head was watertight.
The missiles exploded on the barrier, but instead of fire, insulating goo came out. The robot was trying to cut out Pulse's electricity.

"Whoa!" Pulse exclaimed, vanishing in another flash of light and appearing away from the goo.
"That's it, Rust Bucket! Now I really don't like you!" Pulse exclaimed, shaking his fist towards the robot in annoyance. He took a defensive stance, ready to move if the robot attacked again while hoping for an opening so he could check on the girl.

"Analyzing ... Target possesses Form 10 and Form 4 capabilities. Preparing Gravity Distortion Array ..." The battle robot planted its feet as if preparing something, and a wave seemed to wash over Pulse as gravity seemed to increase around him.
From behind the robot, the water broke apart, admitting a second robot, this one with the same emblem on its chest that the girl had around her neck. "I've got something for you to analyze!" It continued to grow and actually picked the battle robot up in one now-giant hand before throwing it into the air. A moment later, it flicked its wrists up and lasers fired, igniting the ammunitions still within the drone.

Pulse grit his teeth in annoyance as he noticed the change in gravity. It wasn't as bad as the robot had likely intended, Jamie having had experience using his abilities in increased gravity thanks to Ms. Tech's machines. He was preparing a new trick when the other robot appeared. Looking up at it in shock, he watched as it removed the first robot from the area.
"Whoa...maybe she was one of those cute, Anime Mecha Chicks!" Pulse exclaimed.

The second robot turned its red eye to look toward him before it finished climbing out of the water, shrinking down in the process to a less ... city-crunching size. "You know, I heard that ..."

Pulse let out a laugh and zipped closer to the robot.
"Hey, big deal there. People call me Pulse! You gonna come out of there any time soon, little lady?" he asked, still thinking the girl he's met earlier was in a mech suit of some kind.

"It's not a suit," the robot answered, though while its face couldn't show any expression, its tone definitely came across as annoyed. "It's a transformation."

Pulse didn't seem to notice the annoyance but he nodded at the word transformation.
"Oh! So...you're like one of those hot, changes into a giant robot chicks! Gonna change back then?" he asked.

"In five minutes," the robot answered, the annoyance becoming more pronounced as it crossed its arms over its massive form. "Do you always ask so many questions while you talk about people like they're on display?"

Pulse let out a slightly embarressed laugh.
"Sorry about that, Little Lady. I'm just eager to get a better look at the cute girl I played the Hero for," he said.

The robot tilted its head to the side, the tone becoming a bit more venomous. "And you don't think that girl doesn't rather dislike the idea of being ogled at like a piece of meat? If you're trying to win brownie points, you're already in the hole."

Pulse sagged slightly.
"Awww...I'm just trying to be friendly. Super types like me usually don't get to meet too many girls that aren't helpless damsels or villainesses in disguise," he said.

"No wonder," Metal Head answered sharply. "You chase them all off acting like a complete jerk."

Pulse cringed, taking a step back. With a defeated sigh, he hung his head for a moment.
"I'm sorry..." he said, looking back up at Metal Head after a moment.

The robot actually seemed to sigh, reaching up to rub its forehead - obviously a human gesture from another form, rather than something that actually did the metallic being any good. "... Don't worry about it ... I should be going, anyway. Time's nearing being up." With that, the robot turned to walk away, its heavy footfalls still sending ripples through the ground at its reduced size.
