"Well!" The woman seemed offended, though not quite so offended as her husband. "You'd think you'd feel some remorse."
From the looks of it, she wasn't going to drop it, and they probably weren't going to help him without a proper apology.
-
True leaned around Terry, giving the demon a second once-over.
"Uh... Funny you mention that story, actually. I was just telling..." The android looked over her shoulder, at the volcanic eruption. It was getting kinda hot over there. "Well, she was telling me. Or something. Were you there?"

* "Near the two gentlemen"/Burning Building *
The strike was utterly clean and could be heard even amidst the sounds of the chaos around them. The Skull King withdrew his hand, it stung more than he expected and he tried to subtly shake off the prickling pain in his hand.
Gen herself was in shock for a moment, one cheek a blushing red from the harsh slap, but she recovered quickly and delivered a mightier blow in return.
The surprise and the sheer force behind it knocked the Skull King clear to the floor. She sharply planted her foot to the ground near his face, for once in his life there was a hint of fear tingling at the back of his mind, it was tiny but it was there. "Never strike a lady."
Gen cast a glance at the building and the screaming people still coming out of it, she looked back at the Skull King who was warily still peeling himself off of the ground. She pointed at him with great purpose, "You, you're going to help me."

Terry growled in annoyance. "I don't have time for this. I'm putting out this fire now!" He leveled his finger at Caedervac. "Touch her and I'll roast you to a crystalline crisp!"
With that, he brought his hand about, twisted up the top of the dial on the glove and slammed it back down. The flash of light surrounded him for a few moments, but then the heat in the area suddenly seemed to increase. When it faded, the reason was plain. A humanoid fire elemental stood where Terry had been. Hothead gave Caedervac one quick glare and jumped into the air, roaring up above the top of the burning building.
"Somebody call for the fire department?" he asked sarcastically as he thrust his hands down and up, the flames of the building roaring to follow his command. As he concentrated the fire into an ever-growing ball, it lifted up from the building without leaving so much as a cinder, and when he had it all gathered before him, he slapped his hands together and extinguished it in one movement.
That done, he came back down to land back between the demon and the android. "There, that's one problem solved."

Cadaervec smiled at the boy's comments, he was amused by this clearly unnatural teenager. His gaze returned to True quickly thogh." I am sorry. But, no I wasn't there." He looked to the place where the eruption had occured and back at True with her bwildering action in mind. "It seems you are having some difficulties with something? May I help?"

The woman wailed some more as smoke thick curled out of the brick bicycle shop.
"My baabyyyy..."
*True*
"Uh, no," said the child thoughtfully. "This is kinda par for a Thursday."

* "Near the two gentlemen"/Burning Building * The woman near the burning building was still sobbing about her child and Gen gave her a cursory introduction as she sized up the building, "I'm Gen Corrector," she waved vaugely at the Skull King, "and this is my assistant," he scowled at the remark but otherwise, begrudgingly complied, "if you would be so kind innocent non-player citizen, please remain calm and I'll retrieve your child for you." It was odd that a bike shop of all things was on fire, even stranger that there was no baby that could be heard, but it wasn't a matter that could be left alone. In the very least she would retrieve whatever was left of her baby. "You," she grabbed the Skull King roughly by his clothing, "I know you have otherworldly protection from the elements." He was baffled by her knowing this but didn't outwardly express it. "We must charge in to rescue that child, any hesitation could lead to its life being lost, do you understand?" The Skull King wasn't impressed and the fleck of obedience to her in his mind had already fled, "Oh yes I understand, but I feel no obligation for your insistence on participating in these trivial acts of heroism. But do help yourself madam." Gen let out a puff of frustration and in a series of quick movements most unfitting of someone who looked like a secretary, had locked the Skull King's arm into a painful joint lock behind his back. He let out a grunt of pain ' Wretched woman-!' and she simply charged into the building with him as a human battering ram in front of her. (Gen wears the pants in this relationship. )

*Sidewalk Bench near True*
Reluctantly, Aden woke up from his slumber. He pushed his jacket up from off of him and slowly sat upwards on his bench. All of his bodily appendages were sore and stiff. Then, the tough part. He cracked his eyes open. It seemed that there was some sort of explosion or fire. He rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand, but when his vision cleared, he saw no flames. He turned his head and saw a bit of commotion at a store, but nothing disconcerting. Lights streamed across his vision, strands darting from the people he saw to unknown places he didn't see; But this was a site he was long used to. He shifted position and tried to lay himself back down to sleep, but he only found extreme discomfort and knew that further sleep wouldn't be possible.
He turned himself so that he was sitting regularly on the bench, and began to ready himself for the day. He looked over his attire. He had on a wrinkled black tee with a white triangular symbol embossed on the front, but it was hard to tell it was wrinkled without the contrast of color. His black jeans could go for a while longer as well, but he would have to find somewhere to fix himself up later. He threw his jacket over his shoulder after stretching for a bit, and popped a stick of gum in his mouth. He automatically checked his phone for missed calls and messages before beginning to walk down the sidewalk towards the store that was previously, unbeknownst to Aden, engulfed in a pillar of lava.

Managing to suppress a sigh of exasperation, Caelus half-shrugged, saying "It's not that I'd prefer to have fallen on your husband, and I hope you can believe me when I say that I'm sorry I did, but I still need to know; is there anything that you can tell me about any other strange happenings in this forest? I was going to--hold on..."
Here he stopped for a moment to pull out a can of hair spray, and, spinning the bottle in his hand, continued to speak while applying the spray to get that jump back in his ducktail and remove some of the feathers, dust, and such that had found their way in due to his rather unstylish entry.
"--go investigate a building that had recently exploded; there may still be civilians and others inside, and I'd like at least to have the chance to save those inside and visit my smokin' sick vengeance on the person or demon that would dare to commit such an act."

The first thing they—mostly the Skull King—hit was a twisted bicycle hanging from the low ceiling. Once inside, they could see the scene rather clearly. The smoke obscured the open entrance behind them as it had when they were outside, but now it only curled up along the rafters, and hot yellow flames lit the fiasco in convenient corners, licking up the walls and staying there like an audience.
The focus, then, was a large, sweating shop owner of Hispanic descent, battling a twisted octopus-related fiend fresh from a dreadful nightmare. The shop owner's back was to the floor, and he tried to skewer the thick beast with a boxcutter, but the monster had him secured and was mercilessly raining blow after blow down on the civilian.

When Aden left, so did the bench he'd slept on, casually waddling after him.
-
"It's hard to believe when you don't sound sorry at all."
At last, though, the woman let it go, and so did her husband, growling. "Indeed. Well met, villain, if that is your true title. The valiant King of the Griffons and his noble, beautiful Queen seek a princess of ice, who, though highborn, benevolent, and virtuous, by being a princess of ice, is blocking our great waterway."
The 'Queen' smiled politely. "We're going to nicely ask her to move."
-
A reporter stood before her cameraman, delivering a passionate minute-long message about drug abuse in high schools today, hindered and jostled on occasion by masses of commuting students. One hefty girl suddenly jumped her and a second, both anorexic and tanorexic one took the microphone, gazing into the camera seriously while her friend beat down the innocent newswoman.
"Only one building was sent sky-high in a stream of lava. There are other random calamities around the city, but nothing nearly so dramatic. I failed to specify the exact location of the building Zandyne's dealing with in conjunction to the lava-blown one, however, so due to this and other circumstances, these related largely to character entrances, it's accepted that this second fire is just a few blocks away. Back to you, Sheryl."

The fire elemental crossed his arms. "Yeah, trouble tends to follow her. All the more reason for me not to trust you."

*Nearing True&friends with bench trailing behind*
Hearing steps behind him, Aden glanced over his shoulder as he strode down the sidewalk, but saw no one. He caught movement, though, in the corner of his eye as he was turning back around and did a double take. He froze up for just less than a second to confirm that the bench he had been sleeping on just previously was now following him. Aden yelped and started running as fast as he could away from the animate bench.

"Look. I appreciate that you are doing the honorable thing, but you are working on my nerves for no reason at all." His brow knitted tightly, what he saw as selflessness was quickly becoming insubordination. "True, please tell this child that I mean no harm. I think he may listen to you and defuse the situation somewhat."

*True*
But the "child" made a fist at that which roared quickly into a swirling fireball. "Buddy, I'm no child. The name's Terry McGregor. Some call me Terry Ten. But for the next several minutes, you can call me Hothead, and do I look like I defuse anything?"

*Nearing True&friends*
Someone was on fire ahead of Aden. Or they were the fire. Aden saw some violent strands in the area, so he decided maybe a walking bench wasn't so bad after all. He slowed to a stop just after taking off and whirled around on the bench, lowering himself and preparing for anything.
(Edited to fit the situation)
