But the opening seemed to lead, instead, into a crystalline cave, lined with the same beautiful crystals.

[sorry, I forgot about this.]
He applied a little pressure to the side of the openning to see if they would give way any.

The cavern walls remained sturdy despite his pressure. The tunnels would likely hold up to a tank if necessary, and they would certainly not be collapsing on him.

(It's ambient. It comes from all of the crystals, so no shadows.)

(You could go on into the crystal caverns.)

Toriji, against all of his instinct and intuition, finallyentere the caverns out of despiration. He held his hand on the hilt of his sword, ready for an attack. He walked slowly and scanned the crystal walls, looking for any sign of Kali.

The caverns seemed to go on for quite some time, twisting and turning, reflecting everything. It almost seemed like finding his way through it would be impossible, but finally the bone demon found himself in a large crystal chamber, lined with so much precious stone that a single match would reflect so much it would light the football field-length room for weeks.

Hmm. I suppose this isn't what I expected. I had better be on the look out. This looks perfect for a fight to go down in. He kept his paranoid stance and walked, ever so slowly out into the cavern.

"You took long enough," the Man-Demon's voice answered as he seemed to materialize out of the light. "The Chosen One cleared it in a fraction of your time."

"Yeah well, I bet she wasn't narly as paranoid as I am." He walked forward at his same pace. "With such a strong opponent, I can be nothing but."

"True, she is not," Kali confirmed. "She believes in moving forward at all times, taking steps in faith, and that when she arrives where she is needed, her Lord will have prepared her with what she needs to act. Such action requires both great courage and great faith."

"Both of which I have, just insured courage and faith in myself. If uncertainty raises his head, neither is any good. All in all, it serves me well this thougt pattern of mine. I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it." He remained crouched down and at the ready, Kali could be a little unpredictable at times.

Still, the Man-Demon remained calm, standing up with his hands folded before him. "If you have both, but still fear, then your faith in yourself and your courage to act aren't as great as her courage and the faith she has in her Lord," he reasoned. "You say neither are any good in times of uncertainty, but those are the times when they are the most important virtues of all."
