"It wouldn't work that easily. I'd still be in pieces, just in the same place as my other piece." He shook himself of the conversation ."But I am not unhappy with my current state, I've grown accustomed to it. I just wish to take vengance on Toriji and the humans who imprisoned me." He continued walking when a frozen river came into sight. He ran over to it ecstatically. "C'mon, this is the river that forms Niagra. We can slide along it much faster than walking." He jumped onto it and with a few skating motions of his feet, he was slidding an a good speed.

Speaking of "gods", a cold voice spoke up from behind Ain and Mana. "Isn't such unnecessary violence the epitome of human shortcomings?" Selasther was standing behind the two, his host giving both of them a blank stare. "And, by the way, gods had nothing to do with demons, thank you. You really should research what you're blaming before you blame it." Mana kept walking along at her same speed, not phased at all by his sudden appearence. She had seen him appear and knew he was there before he had spoken. Ain howver, didn't know this. She jumped inside at his appearence but her face showed no sign of surprise as she turned to him, her feet also moving, keeping up Mana. " Makes no difference to me, former god," Mana spoke to him, she turned and her eyes looked into his, hers holding a sense of allmighty knowledge but she quickly turned away, back to her first objective. " You really should go on your way. You would not want one of us, we are not to your liking." Ain thought about this and wasn't sure to what Mana meant, but went along with her anyway, not saying a thing.

But the catgirl was in front of him, floating backwards in midair with a playful grin on her face. "Maybe you can slide faster than you can walk ..."

Havvok stuck his claws in the ice and grinded to a stop. "Then slide on your stomach. The jacket puts up less of a resistance to sliding."

The diety gave a wry smile. "You heard of me?" He asked.

Abby continued to grin as she turned away, crossing her arms under her chest. "Count on a dead guy to completely miss the point." But she alighted back on the ice, though probably still not walking on it as much as she seemed, as she strolled without even the slightest sign of slipping. "Well, no sense wasting time, right?"

Though it couldn't be seen through the bandana, Havvok cocked an eyebrow. "Interesting. Is it our feet or shoes that keep you from slipping? It intrigues me."

She grinned widely. "I'm actually still floating, just a hair's breadth above the ice. I'm cheating."

They reached the ice as two they were following were already sliding down the ice.
Heaving a sigh, Ain gently picked up Mana and told her to hold on.
" Follow us if you like old one, but it might not do you any good. " Finishing the last syllable she nodded to Ain who promptly dashed down along the ice, but this wouldn't be enough to make up the lost distance.
A phantom extended from Ain's body for a mere second, flying out at a frightening speed, and covering the lost ground, and after that mere second her body was pulled forward at that same speed to the same position the phantom stopped, where she promptly side stepped onto the ice, carrying them along down the ice.
She laid the confused mana down and she glided loosely on the ice along with Ain, who was crouched over heaving. It was too cold for her. Her lunges stung and her eyes watered from the incident. The huffing wasn't because she was tired but because she hadn't done it in a while, and her body was a little unused to it. IT would become accustomed to it once more later on.

Havvok's ears twitched yet again. What?!? More visitors, what do they want. I'll let them be for now, but I think I'll listen out of them on the ice. "Well, it's not really cheating, but it really would be faster sliding. Though, I can understand if you are uneasy about losing your footing."

Mana smiled to herself. "He knows we are here, that landing alerted him. Now he is acting as if he never heard it. He's watching us."
Ain merely nodded and slide along with mana.

Abby's ears twitched, as well, when the landing occurred, but she ignored it, as well. "Alright, we'll make it a race. You slide, I'll fly, and we'll see who's faster."

"Fine." He did a flip, placing the claws on his hands on his feet. When he land on them they were almost like skates. "GO!" He grunted and shot off into the distance as fast as he could.

Abby's movement couldn't even be seen because of the technique she was using. Flash step would seem nearly instantaneous to anyone who didn't know the technique.

Havvok blinked hard as Abby passed him with ease. He sped up using his superhuman strength to propel him. He came to a grinding halt at the falls next to Abby. "That couldn't have been just flying." He took a hard breath and looked out over the horizon. Miles away the top of a steel building could be seen hundreds of miles away "That's the shelter. A few miles south of that is the place you're looking for."
