*Capital Ship Prime of Examiner Outpost Colonization Fleet 90347, Continent 3 Airspace*
"Sir..." The same drone spoke up again.
"I'm listening." Gexor said, sitting in a chair and lazily playing with a yo-yo, watching it with fascination as it went up and down. "My, my, humans are so clever, creating such a simple thing, but making it so entertaining."
"Humans, sir?" The drone asked.
"The sole indigenous civilization of this planet." Gexor explained. "Quite fascinating creatures, really. But ignore the ramblings of the eccentric Judge, young drone." Gexor got out of his seat and leaned over the soldier's shoulder. "What do we have here?"
"Well, Judge 7834, the Deployment Pods succeeded in touching down with minimal environmental damage and indigenous casualties." The drone said.
"Good, good." Gexor commented.
"But..." The drone started. "There is a problem."
"Oh... of course..." The Judge grumbled. "What's happened?"
"The Deployment Pods are being sabotaged. The compounders are being destroyed. The Pods that are being attacked make a trail leading towards us... And there's a life sign, one not of the indigenous species, following that exact trail at a fast pace." The drone pointed to some readings.
"Hmm... Peculiar. Have you been able to acquire a visual?" Gexor asked, still flicking the yo-yo up and down.
"No. He's too fast... But, we've been able to recognize a partially dormant energy signature..." The drone commented. "I've taken the liberty to consult and cross-reference the Hive archives."
"Good, I like independent thought, saves me from having to give obvious orders. Your findings?" Gexor asked.
"It seems... well, Judge 7834, it seems to be Weapon 690332..." The drone said. "It's an alien artifact that was encountered several years ago. It bears the power to shift the wielder into exterminated warriors of the past, using acquired samples of their... I suppose you could say.. spiritual essence."
"Fascinating." Gexor looked closer on the readings. "... Maybe I should try to... seize this wielder, and see what these humans are doing with it, hmm? If there is no militaristic resistance as of yet, then focus our forces on acquiring that weapon, and the wielder."
*Victoria*
There was absolutely no resistance as Terry made his way towards the ship.
"So, you are Weapon 690332's representation of Historical Figure 90425..." A voice droned uninterestedly. A tall, dark green creature, apparently an insect-like humanoid, was watching Blitzkrieg. Or at least, he looked like he was. He may have been more preoccupied with the yo-yo in his hand. "I am assuming you are the commander of some sort of indigenous civilian resistance force?"
