Nina said, "i guess, but i need one so i can use my vines whenever i want." and she went tot he dirt and dug through and took out a small seed. she put her hand in her sleeve, putting the seed in a hidden pocket. "well, were should we go now?"

"And our people do double duty," Terry informed the alien. "We work and we reproduce. There's no differentiation between the people who perform the two."

"I guess our best bet would be my house." Cassandra said. "If I know Glenn, that's probabaly where he'll go if he's looking for me."

"Any female drone is applicable for the position of Queen, it is a matter of choice, not birth." Gexor said.
"Umm, we can argue over what's the right or the wrong way to run our civilization all day." Glenn said. "So could we possibly wait until after we pick up my wife to do so?"
"Of course." Gexor said. "I would never deny someone of their Queen. It is my understanding that certain humanoids develop an unnatural emotional attatchment to their breeding partner."

Nina nodded and smiled as she followed Cassandra, humming a tune as she followed.

"Unnatural for you," Terry pointed out to the alien. "Perfectly natural for us."

"There are natural emotional attatchments, like brotherhood, friendship, and patriotism. But the emotional attachment between some breeding partners of other races are.... frighteningly powerful." Gexor said, at a loss for description.

"Love is a strong motivator for us," Terry explained. "Whether it be for woman, father, child, brother or country, it is attributed for some of the greatest adventures and feats in our history."

(sounds good to me, lets hope they get picked up soon)
*at Cassandra's house*
Nina looked around in wonder. In her life on earth, she hadn't seen half the stuff the house contained. She looked around and then at the couch, poking it as if fearing it would eat her.

"It still sounds dangerous to me." Gexor said. "But I will not judge you on that.... well, I'm supposed to judge you, but not in this respect."
*Cassandra's House*
Cassandra watched Nina as she started running around the house, fiddling with things here and there in a frenzy to clean a seemingly invisible mess. "You're free to sit down if you like." She said. "Sorry for the mess." On the contrary, the house was quite clean. Disturbingly clean, in fact...

Nina was looking at a tv, poking it a bit, and just nodded, and pressed a button. when it came on, she jumped and eeped, and hid behind the couch. "ITS POSSESSED!"

"Now, I'm curious," Terry asked, "if you don't fight for love of home and country, what do you do it for?"

Cassandra jumped too, looking back at Nina. It only took a while for her to figure out what was wrong, though. She sighed and calmed down. "It's just a television..." She said, short of breath from the shock. "It lights up and shows moving pictures and plays sounds. Sometimes for information and education, but most of the time for entertainment." The transgender grabbed a remote by her and turned the TV off.

"I said patriotism is natural." Gexor said. "And the Species Prime do not fight. We Examine. It is our way, and has been our way for millenia on end. To maintain order in the multiverse, we of Species Prime keep a weary eye out for any emerging societies and civilizations. We "fight", as you refer to it, to make sure the mistakes of our former neighbours back in tribal days are not repeated."

Nina looked and said, "but it talked! it shouldn't talk! the only things that should talk are people and plants!" and she seemed scared of it, still staying crouching behind the couch. "all these things are really strange...."
