"Yeah, well, somebody forgot to tell that to your friend over Europe," Terry pointed out blandly as he motioned with his thumb. "And what drives your patriotism but love for the people you are a patriot of?"

*Cassandra's House* Nina looked and said, "but it talked! it shouldn't talk! the only things that should talk are people and plants!" and she seemed scared of it, still staying crouching behind the couch. "all these things are really strange...." *Cassandra's House* I'd hate to see you watching a children's program... Cassandra thought. "It plays back recorded sounds." Cassandra said. "It's not actually talking, it's repeating things people said for the recording. Like how symphonies play music during a play." *Examiner Flagship* "Africa..." Glenn corrected quietly. "The Commander is not my "friend". He has no respect for the hierarchy laid down by Overseer Prime." Gexor dismissed vehemantly. "Not all of our species agree with the Judges and the edicts surrounding them. The Commander is simply one of the few with the fortitude and stupidity to break code."

Nina said, "so... its like someone is copying what someone else was saying?" she asked, still a bit confused. "but... where does the food go then?"

"Well, he sure picked the wrong planet to develop a backbone on," Terry concluded as he raised his gloved hand in a fist. "I'll snap it back out of him. How much longer until we get there?"

"It doesn't have to eat." Cassandra said. "It's not actually alive. I suppose you could say it feeds off electricity, though."
*Examiner Flagship*
"Not long." Gexor reassured Terry. "But first," The alien looked over at Glenn. "Your Queen? Do you have methods of directing us to her?"
Glenn smiled. "Of COURSE I have methods of directing us to her. We're already above her!" He said.
There was a paniced string of clicks, gutteral calls, and squeals from one of the rooms, appearantly directed towards Gexor. The alien stared back at Glenn, his voice full of fear and amazement. "Our ship was spontaneously relocated over a high population area. We were totally stationary and no action to move was taken yet..."

"That's Glenn for you," Terry shrugged.

Nina stopped, and said, "wait! the trees! they are saying something!" and she went outside and put an ear to a tree. "the big ship! its close! i need to signal to it... but how?" and she looked up and then at the trees. she then put her hands to the ground and the tree shook next to her, and then the other trees shook too, their tops making out into an arrow that pointed at the house. "there! they have to at least be able to understand that!"

Gexor was about to say something when he got interrupted by more shouts of the bizarre alien language.
"There's strange forces making the foliage nearby the residence move." Gexor translated. "They seem to be making a gesturing sign towards it. Is that also your doing?" He asked Glenn.
Glenn shook his head. "No. And my wife can't do that either. I'll go down and investigate." The omnipotent disappeared without any further prompting or notice.
Gexor seemed to frown in confusion. "I have seen the paranormal at work before. But that drone is completely bizarre."
*Cassandra's House*
Cassandra raised an eyebrow as Nina left.
"Cassandra," Glenn said, appearing right behind his wife, "do you know what's messing around with the plants outside?"
"Oh, hey honey. That's just Nina. She's an alien girl I met in the park. She's safe, and she's not with the aliens in the ship." Cassandra said.
Glenn nodded. "Alright, I see. If you could hold on a moment, I need to explain some things to you. Just let me grab hold of your friend, first." The omnipotent started to head outside.
"Excuse me." Glenn called out from the front door to Nina. "Could you please stop messing around with the trees?"

Nina looked and said, "ah you must be her mate. i did not force the trees to move. i asked them." she went over and then bowed, and the trees went back to normal. she turned to him. "so, you must of came for her. can you take me too?" and she gave him a pleading look she learned from a begger.

"Eh, paranormal may not be as good a word as just abnormal," Terry answered the alien after Glenn left. "He's just ... out there. I'd tell you about me being his wife's bridesmaid at their wedding, but somehow, I get the feeling you wouldn't understand wife, bridesmaid or wedding. No offense."

*Cassandra's House*
"That depends." Glenn said. "If you're coming with me, you're going to be dragged into the supression of a very violent coup d'etat within an advanced alien society. Are you cool with that?"
*Examiner Flagship*
"No. I can't say I do." Gexor said. He looked up in thought. "I'm assuming "bridesmaid" is a pormanteau of the words "bride" and "maid". There's no data on "bride", but "maid" refers to either an employed domestic caretaker or a female with no prior mating experience." The alien suddenly said. "You... were cleaning at this... "wedding"?"

"Eh, you're close," Terry answered. "The bride is the female in an Earth ritual representing the bonding of two exclusive mates. It is tradition for the male and female to choose one of their closest unmarried friends of the same gender to help them with the details of the ceremony and ultimately have the honor of standing beside them during the service. These selections are called the Best Man and the Bridesmaid, respectively."

For a scenario that was, pardon the pun, alien to him, Gexor seemed to catch on very quickly. "I see, but would it not be more logical for the male representative to be referred to as the Best Man and the female representative to be referred to as the Bridesmaid?"

Terry nodded. "That's what I said. And I was the bridesmaid."

Gexor was quiet, but then quickly nodded. "Which form was it?" He asked.
