A voice that had heretofore been silent could be heard now. "Lost a bet, you say?" A man walked from the back of the tavern to the bar and nodded to her. "What kind of bet?" He was dressed in shining white plate armour that was picked out with gold gold. In fact, almost all of him was a pale white, from the long hair to his handsome face. On his back rested a scabbard decorated with emeralds and diamonds. A glow seemed to surround him as the light shone off his be-jewelled armour. The bartender, as if this had become traditional, poured a shining liquid and returned to watching the two arguers, as if preparing the best place to divulge them. "I am Lycaeus Karba." The white man introduced himself to Muirin.
The bartender raised his voice. "You." He pointed at David, Irons and the Ranger. "Behave." His words were soft, but they concealed a temper as firm as iron. They were the first nonalcohol related words he had spoken in centuries, and many of the barmaids paused in their serving to watch those men who had provoked it. "There will be no quarreling here."

"That's exactly what I was trying to prevent," the ranger answered the barkeep flatly before turning back to Muiren and nodding to her in greeting and offering his hand to shake. "David Christiansen, it's a pleasure, miss."

"Be a fine time to meet so many new friends and comrades!" Brudo said with a laugh, as he introduced himself, to all present strangers.
"The name is Brudo! Just Brudo ha ha! *Hic*" Brudo said as he bent forward giving his own bow to all before him, he then tilted back up, taking a swivel of the alcohol from his glass...

Iron waves to the bartender and shrugs at him. " I'm sorry sir. Just tryin to keep the bar safe!"
Subtle sighs, Iron's massive distract him keeping him from necessary work. He peers over the bartender, knowing better than to act up near such a being, then to the new comers, thanking himself softly that they were human and less loud.

True watched the commotion with one long inhalation through her straw and a splash of bewilderment over her relatively hidden visage. She stopped to exhale, then resumed making the annoying noise. Once, she looked sideways at Subtle in the back corner, but she was looking at everyone then, even while her other two souls' attentions stayed locked on the gathering of oddities.
Eventually she began to get dizzy from hyperventilating, and rose, going as far around the group as possible to calmly hold her glass in front of the bartender, like a four-year-old with a sippy-cup. "More, please."

"Yes, I lost a..." Muirin's voice trailed off as she turned to look at the new man, and she was left staring at him in silence. Her eyes bulged, and then slowly they gained a hungry, greedy gleam. It was quite obvious that she was staring at the multitude of precious stones and metals covering Lycaeus, and when she next spoke she offered the man a wide, toothy smile, just meant to sway him. "I did lose a bet jest now, yes." She gestured around at the bar. "This place, aye, I, ahh, didn't believe it existed, eh? So I bet'a fine little sum o'fifty silver pieces that he couldn't prove it t'me...Well. Ye can see how that worked out, eh? Jes goes to show, when an old fisherman tells ye that a certain fish can be found in certain waters, t'would be bes'ta believe 'im." She nodded sagely, eying Lycaeus' armor again.

Apparently ignored, the ranger glanced over at the bar, wondering when that barmaid would come back with a map, when he saw a familiar face at the counter mooching soda. Since the present group didn't seem to even notice his existence, he saw no insult in simply walking off and over to the girl.
"Finally, a familiar face," he opened. "Never thought I'd be this glad to see you. I don't suppose you know where we are?" He glanced over toward the mutant and the others that seemed so odd. "It's like I ran out of the canal and into a bar in the Demon Empire."

"Ahah. Howdy." True said flatly, only partially getting the reference. "It's an alternate universe altogether, Red Ranger. They give you free sodas. But no pizza. Only sodas and juice and chocolate milk." She didn't lower her arms, holding out the glass and staring at the bartender expectantly. "The doors lead you to other dimensions, so I just go out one of those and dumpster-hop my way back home from there. Always have to cut through Jurassic Park. I've been here four times. Why, were you fighting more dumb stuff again?"

"They caught me alone in the woods," he answered. "I was taking a hike and half a dozen demons with more demonkin than I've ever seen ambushed me from nowhere. I didn't have time to morph, just to run and try to put space between them and me." He reached down and rubbed his morpher. "Luckily, I know those woods. They don't. But that door was never there before, I'm sure of it."

The knight smiled at her and took a seat next to Muirin. "Well, in that case, I believe I have a proposition for you." His voice rose, to carry to all the people in the bar, "I come from a world which has fallen under the sway of an evil, callous villain. His powers have destroyed our natural environment, and broken the will of the people. I only escaped through cunning and cleverness, and now he has destroyed the doors to this very bar in order to prevent me from returning." The Knight stood up and hit the bar in front of him. "I seek brave and strong warriors to help me attain the power I need to restore my world's former glory."
With a knowing look at Muiren, he added, "And I'm certain there will be much wealth and treasure along the way, too."

David looked over at the fist, then followed it up to the person and grinned, holding a thumb up. "Looks like there's a reason for everything. That just happens to be my very calling in life."

"Calling. Please. You're a temp, at best." True huffed, eyes still locked on the bartender and arms still outstretched. She didn't bother accepting the invitation otherwise. If David went, she would tag along.
