Vacation Cruise, Nether World

They came from all over to a place with a name that would deter most from ever traveling there. Yet, these people were heading there by bus in hopes to have an interesting and relaxing vacation. Death Valley, one of the hottest and driest places in North America was where these travelers expected to find a cruise ship that would take them to another world. However, after passing the first sand dune, just about everyone on the buses was starting to think all manner of thoughts. It wasn’t until 3 hours after the busses had left their original destination that it suddenly came into view, the cruise ship, The SS Fire Princess. The sight of what looked like a brand new cruise ship sitting in a large sand dune like it had been there for all of time was odd in the minds of most of the passengers. To others it screamed “Adventure” and to the rest it was “MEH”. The busses came to a stop right next to the cruise ship. Already it could be seen that some other set of busses had made it there before this last set. It wasn’t the fact that the busses where still unloading, it was the 3 lines of 20 people each who looked like they have been standing for over an hour just to get on the ship. With only 3 gangways onto the boat, something was jamming up the lines. It was a bad sign of things to come, all the security computers that were checking the passengers I.D.s had crashed. Now the crew of the ship had to check each person, one at a time, manually. As all the people had exited the bus and got in line, no one could see that but high up on the deck looking down at them was a man with blue hair.

*Up on deck looking down was a man with blue hair who was wearing only jeans with a brown leather belt and black military boots. Known to some as the assassin Tigerwolf known to the crew as Tai Wolf the passenger.*

Tigerwolf: “Well at least I made the playing field fair and cut down on some innocent bystanders.”

*Down in the lines stood one man who looked like he didn’t fit in with the rest of the passengers. He dressed like a police detective trying to blend by wearing a Hawaiian shirt. The brown trench coat he was wearing over the Hawaiian shirt didn’t help him look less strange. Unknown to just about everyone was that this man was Vic Sliver, an agent of C.A.D.I. (Central Agency of Demonic Investigations) and that he was not on vacation. As more and more people got off the bus, the lines started to become talkative with those who are waiting trying to find out what is causing the slow down. One strange group of people in line happened to be 3 different super heroes, all of which were dressed in civilian attire. The Modern Swordsmen (El Wray), White Shinobi (Kasumi) and a Cat girl who was known only as Kade met in line. Kasumi and Kade had combined their money to get on the cruise; however they were not there to just enjoy a vacation. El Wray on the other hand, who was from another state than Kasumi and Kade, was alone (Except for Chopper his Dragon) and actually on vacations.*

Kasumi: “El Wray?”

*El Wray turned around to Kasumi and Kade.*

El Wray: “Hey… you.”
Kade: “Kasumi, you know him?”
Kasumi: “We worked together once.”
El Wray: “Kasumi?”
Kasumi: “What are you doing here El Wray?”
El Wray: “ I’m on vacation.”
Kasumi: “All by yourself?”
El Wray: “Chopper is with me.”
Kade: “Chopper?”
Kasumi: “I’ll explain later.”
Kade: “ok.”
El Wray: “Yeah I have a rich uncle who had paid for this but couldn’t make the trip when he got in a bad car accident. So, not to waste money, he let me go.”
Kasumi: “That’s just… strange.”
El Wray: “Well it’s his fault for driving 90 while getting a BJ from some slut he picked up.”

*Kasumi gave a look that said “too much information” while Kade just looked on in confusion for a second before it suddenly hit her and laughed.*

(Ok, your characters will be getting off the bus and getting into line, feel free to talk to people for awhile. I’ll soon have a time skip to where everyone is on the boat and the ship gets moving.)

The woman's form was short compared to most of the humans surrounding her, only standing a touch over five feet or so, perhaps just under. It was made difficult to tell, as well as alleviated somewhat, because of the heels she wore. Even on the shade of the bus, she had left her thick sunglasses on, and she showed no desire to remove them when they arrived and she unloaded with the rest of the passengers. She closed the book she had been reading, despite the heavy sunglasses, and slipped it into her carry-along bag.

The bus wasn't as comfortable as her bike, or as cool as the breeze blowing in her face the whole way might have been, but Aeven couldn't bear the thought of bringing her baby all the way out here then leaving it in all of this sun and dry, hot sand. Thus, it had stayed behind, safely covered and within her garage. She pulled a bottle of water from her bag as she made her way to the line and drank from it, just sipping, knowing not to guzzle, before returning it.

To the person in front of her, she spoke, and her voice was noticeably bearing an exotic accent difficult to place, her dark grey skin repelling more of the heat than what would have been done had she been black, and her white hair, despite being long, keeping her head cool. "The lines seem to be restrained. Is there a problem at the boat?"

[Toriji]

Versago wandered around in his human form as not to alarm any of the "normal" passengers. He looked up the gangway to see that the lines were backed-up. "Damn." He swore under his breath and slipped out of sight. He reverted to his normal appearance and cloaked himself with his powers. He would be an odd sight to see. In this form, he almost looked like an upside-down leather triangle with a masked head on top and an arm hanging from the right side. "Hah, such ease in passing them by." None saw or heard him as he levitated up the ramp's rail.

[Ninmast]

(Considering the number of non-normal humans and non-humans, Toriji, it's metagaming to just claim that nobody sees you or picks up on your presence in any way.)

[EJP]

*Before Versago knew it, he was slapped in the face by something he could not see and was sent flying to the back of the lines. Only a being with great focus and magical insight would have been able to see a gaiant fish slapping Versago, but no one who was holding the fish to do the slapping. Unknown to anyone was the demonic Penguin at the entrace who did the magical fish slapping.*

(Sorry Ninmast but I'm leaving it for someone else to talk to your character for now.)

(No sweat, I didn't really mind who it was she would end up talking to. Nice fish slap.)

[Toriji]

Versago soared away over the edge of the ship, but regained his levatory balance close to the ground. He had lost focus and he could be easily seen. "Oh, what the hell. I guess no cutting in line." He hovered back to the end calmly even as others stared at him.

[Psi]

"It seems that the crew has to check everyone manually." Said a above-adverage height female with light purple hair. She too wore sunglasses, thick and dark though fasionable. Depite the heat she was wearing a black trenchcoat tied togther and under it a puple swinsuit, matching her hair color. Unbenounched to the others the trennchcoat had a cooling system in it, keeping her cool in the heat. She had been wearing casual purple shoes but had taken them out and stored them in her small purse that hung on her right side. It was purple also with black feathers. She could fit and elephant in there and still have room.

She touched her sungalsses and then turned around to face the girl behind her. She had to deactivate the zoom on her glasses or else she would see a little too much of the woman's skin.

"Zionix." She said extending her hand, which was cool to the touch.

"This sucks!" Kopa pouted and a Sam agreed. They both seemed to be siting in the sand cross-legged in front of Zionix. But in reality they were in a invisible box created by Shoka's power. Shoka stood behind them to the left and in front of Zionix, but not by much. He had his hands crossed over his chest.

"Well if I could trust you two to behave until we actually got on the ship, then maybe I would let you out. But I know better than that." He said grimly, looking down at the two.

"Meanie."
"Some day your gonna be a torturer."
"He would be perfect!"
"Yeah, he's so-"

And now there was a force keeping them from talking. Sam and Kopa both sighed, while Shoka only grinned.

[This One]

Azariah had sat at the back of the bus, keeping to herself and listening to the pumping rock music in her MP3 player. She fidgeted with a metal lighter in her hand, flicking it open and closed repeatedly. Her eyes, half-lidded in boredom, traced over the sand dunes as they whipped by outside. Her usual oversized sweater had been traded for a relatively tight, Prussian blue tee-shirt with the name of some band scrawled across the chest in bold white letters. Her jeans were replaced with a pair of baggy black cargo shorts and black flip-flops were where her sneakers used to be.

She was tired, to say the least. She had already flown for several hours from the Atlantic to the Pacific side of the country before boarding the bus and traveling some more. When the bus came to a halt and the passengers were allowed to get off, she climbed off and took her luggage, following the others to the line. Many of those waiting in line seemed to be cursing the heat, though she herself could not feel it because of her powers. Even so, a thin coat of glossy sweat was glimmering on her face and her bangs were becoming plastered to her forehead. Huffing with some annoyance, she telekinetically pulled the bangs from her face. Any normal human watching, if they even noticed, would have thought that it was just a breeze.

After several minutes of waiting, her legs were aching for a rest. “What’s taking so long?” she mumbled, exasperated.

[Ninmast]

"Aeven," the seemingly young woman answered Zionix as she accepted the handshake, and if Zionix' was cool, the drow's was icy to the point of frostbite, though it didn't seem to have any ill effect on her. It was a Frost Touch spell she had quickened. Though her perfectly white smile seemed genuine, she wasn't sure if she liked this woman, but the spell would go without being noticed and wouldn't do any real harm.

"I take it your favorite color is purple," she guessed in that exotic accent that would be all but impossible to place. "Mine is black, like the dark. My eyes find all this unbridled sunlight rather repulsive."

[Psi]

"Ah!" She laughed as she accepted the handshake, bearing the cold. She was surprised that someone else had invented a way to cool themselves in this time and have it unnoticible, but she didn't know it was magic.

"Actually," She started as she reached to take off her sunglasses. A little red light blinked inside it, letting her know shoka had used his power again. She was keeping tabs on the boys to make sure they were progressing and such, "It's red. The hair and eyes were a failed experiment. Something went wrong and I ended up with a modified appearance."she finished, removing the suglasses as she did to show pitch black eyes. She looked like something off of sci-fi movie where aleins invaded human bodies.

"Nevertheless, it's easy to hide and they are actually fun." She was turning and quickly looked over the children to make sure they were behaving just as a big gust hit the the area. Kopa had decided he was too hot and that he needed a little refreshment from the wind.

[Ninmast]

(Just gotta point out, there isn't exactly a lot of loose sand in Death Valley. It's all rock.)

The wind didn't seem to disturb the drow at all, and all that went waving in it was her pure-white hair. "Ah, I see," she answered in response to the hair comment. "And would I be also incorrect to assume that those ..." Her absolutely perfect button nose wrinkled in disgust as she spoke with sarcasm. "... adorable children are yours?"

[EJP]

*The horrid sound of a bull horn being turned out scilenced most of the paggengers waiting in line. In the middle gangway stood a young attractive women with black hair dressed in a white T-shirt with the name of the ship on it in purple letters and very short brown jean shorts stood up holding a bull horn. She spoke in a very cheery voice.*

Bull Horn Woman: "Welcome passengers to the SS Fire Princess! I would like you all to know that we seem to have suffered a complete crash of our security computers and now must check each passenger's ID one at a time by hand. Now I would like to remind you all that no illegal drugs will be allowed on the ship and having them will get you kicked off the ship and arrested. YES! That does include marijuana, paint thinner, shrooms, Nitrous oxcide, and those pills you stole from your grandmother. Lastly, we are trying our best to move the lines along as quickly as we can so we would prefer it if you would all remain calm. We are trying to fix the computers and as soon as they are working we will have these lines moving much faster."

*Just as the women with the bull horn vanished from sight, several people who had been waiting in line before the last set of busses showed up fell over. As those around them gasped, some baggauge handelers ran over and removed the fallen over people from the lines. El Wray, Kasumi, and Kade looked on in horror at the sights.*

El Wray: "Well isn't this just bloody freaken great."
Kasumi: "We'll be dead before we even make it on the ship."
Kade: "Mr. Wray, I don't so pose you could make it rain could you?"
El Wray: "Its El Wray not Mr. Wray and unless you want it to rain fire you best start looking for someone else."
Kade: "Ohhhh.... there has to be a quicker way to get on this boat."
