"Fun," Kagetsuki replied sarcastically, already moving towards a gold and violet folding screen to the right of the bed where she would presumably change, "Yes, that's the exact word I had in mind." She turned back to the gnome for just a moment before disappearing behind the screen, giving him a scathing look. "Do me a favor and stay put." Ugh, he was on her bed. Meikin would have to be given orders to clean it once she was gone... It took merely a minute or so for the queen to finish, coming out from behind the screen dressed in black leggings and a thigh-length shirt matching the colors of the folding screen. There were slits up the side of the shirt, likely to facilitate kicking or other athletic activities; the leggings had small leather pads on their sides, each with three straps. Making her way briskly around the bed to the long table on the left side, ankle-high boots clicking with each step, she picked up first six knives that she slid into the straps on her leggings, then her two swords, Tamashii worn across the back and Kyuuketsuki strapped around her waist. She said not a word through this entire process and only when all of it had been done did she turn to the gnome to speak, her hands working to put her hair up. "I don't suppose you would be able to tell me what your master has planned this time?" (Note: Her shirt is extremely similar to the one pictured here: indiatugofwar3.pbworks.com/f/modern%20indian%20clothing.jpg The only difference would be the colors, design and the slits up the side. )

But instead of an answer, the only response she got from the gnome was the moment she stepped out from behind the screen, when he put both pinkies in his mouth and let out a wolf whistle, a certain obscene bulge below his waist evident that he didn't seem inclined on hiding.

The look of disgust and rage the queen gave the gnome was enough to send an army running. She didn't even bother to speak this time, simply sending a heeled boot right towards the obscene bulge in a harsh kick. Whether or not he reacted, she walked past him without another word and made ready as she'd intended to. By the nearly tangible tension that followed her and the tightness of her jaw it was apparent she'd been struck speechless in her fury. In fact, she wasn't even able to form a complete sentence when she turned to give him her last words, voice low, hoarse and trembling: "If you ever... ever...! I swear by the nine hells, by your very master's father...!" Her hand shook as she raised it towards him threateningly, but the words just couldn't be found. With a hiss she whirled away from him and vanished, off to travel through Kyomu to the site of the message and the others. (I won't really post her arriving, just assume that she suddenly appears out of thin air where everyone else is. )

Ivan shrugged at Toriji's impressive ability to be ambiguous and uninformative. He took the last bites of his apple and idly twirled the apple core by the stem, "You keep mentioning Kali, I'll assume it's one of those pesky personal grudges then. So, how do you plan to get even this time? He's still alive but so are you, got any kind of trumps or plans to break the score this time?"
Hopefully ones that go sour when its your favor.
The appearance of Kagetuski wasn't all that surprising. She just appeared and Ivan took her appearance in stride. He chucked the skeleton of the fruit off to the side and the same arm waving to the destruction. The change of dry tone to one of gentleman pedigree was clean and quick, "Welcome to the stage madame!"
(I would have liked a better reason, but sure that can work I guess.)

"Not a grudge. I've got nothing specifically against Kali, but he'll certainly move on to bigger and better things after this little scuffle. i'm just here to say that i tried to stop him, but i'm not going to die over it." He stiffened a bit as Kagetsuki appeared behind him. He smelled that she was different, hellish like he and Kali. He turned to see her, and vaguely remembered reading somithing about her somewhere, but he couldn't exactly place her. "Ah, another hellspawn." He chuckled. "To put it lightly of course, you don't smell nearly as strongly of sulphur as the ones I usually meet."

"Now you're starting to sound like a mess," he raked a hand though his short black hair, taking a deep breath and starting a new topic, "So, apparently you're all demons? Now that sounds interesting."
Ivan looked over Kagetsuki again, scrutinizing Toriji more would just give him a headache of irritation. After taking in how relatively undemonic she appeared he flashed a smile and an apple from the bag with a slight of hand, "Visually you're of much higher quality than this fellow." He nodded his head in the direction of Toriji.

The immediate reactions of the others when Kagetsuki appeared did not seem to phase the queen; for the most part she appeared to ignore them as she surveyed the area, dark eyes raking first over her surroundings, then Ivan, then Toriji and lastly Sam. Though her eyes betrayed little of her thoughts her voice was enough to show that the fury from her encounter with the gnome had not yet entirely subsided. Although Ivan had greeted her first and spoken to her more recently, Toriji was the first person she addressed.
"Hellspawn? Sulfur?" A cold chuckle followed, and a dry smile as she raised an eyebrow. "I'm afraid you're thinking of a different Hell. Mine is not quite the same." He wasn't the first to have made the mistake, though, and she was hardly going to hold it against him...for long. At the very least he was a demon like herself, though what type she couldn't quite decipher yet. If he'd said the same words and been a human...well, that would have been a different story.
Like the one who was holding an apple out to her. Truth be told she'd been hoping to simply ignore him but his words annoyed her and the residual anger from that stupid gnome incited her to react. She turned to give him a cold stare, leather wings rustling in agitation as she stated sarcastically, "Yes, I'm sure you do think I'm of 'much higher quality' visually than he." Despite the human's gentlemanly tone when she'd appeared, the intention in his words sounded to her like little more than the gnome's, just phrased more intelligently. She made no move to take the apple but instead focused suddenly on the space directly behind Ivan, eyebrows furrowing in confusion.
"Insolitus Magic?" The words were said almost to herself; it was easy to guess that she was speaking of the eyes.

Her reaction puzzled him, if she were any normal human he'd have insulted her right back or maybe prepare a little 'accident' for her. But this one was intriguing. He retracted the apple and slid it discreetly back into the bag so it appeared he'd made it vanish in thin hair. What especially caught his interest was her discussion of magic, he'd never heard of that terming before.
"I'm not at liberty to say, I'm just a humble magician." He wondered what kind of potential she possessed, she had a temper and a kind of superior air about her that was near palpable. Maybe it was actually the hatred or the coldness, he wasn't picky about differentiating between such harsh reactions. Oh but the topic of magic, every little nuance mattered.

'Oh Sam you've gotta let me get a little closer....I like this one...' Zulon purred aloud.
"You like every woman you meet, Zulon. " Sam said back. Then mask made the "Sad Clown" face that made Sam sigh, for he is aware of all of Zulon's movements..
"Hello demon lady, I'm Sam. Nice to meet ya!" The Sad face on the mask vanished and a huge devilish grin, the trademark of Zulon himself, appeared. To normal people the magic in the mask left people believing that it was always like that that it had never changed, but to stronger beings it just, changed.

"A humble magician? Yes, I'm sure you are," The queen replied with a dark smirk, her eyes glinting as she gestured to the air behind him. "A humble magician accompanied by two just-as-humble guardians."
She nearly twitched when Sam addressed her, irked by his forwardness. It was hardly too surprising, though--didn't most humans possess that sort of arrogance? Of course it wasn't as if they knew she was a queen, but when she'd first begun to interact with humans some thousands of years ago she'd thought her mere status as a demon would be enough for them to treat her differently. Better, she'd originally hoped. Worse was what experience had taught her.
"I see," Was her only response to his introduction. She made no move to say her own name, instead looking Sam over and settling on the mask. "That is an interesting little artifact you have. What a surprise, that once more I am in the company of humans who possess powers or items I wouldn't consider them capable of handling."

Sam and Zulon's response to this was laughter. Zulon's rapy voice and Sam's mixing in a clash of smother and sharp. Zulon giving a "Har Har" sort of laugh and sam with a audible chuckling.
"Ma'dam" Sam said mockingly, a little chuckle still in his voice, " I assure you I am very capable of handling all items I have or will ever have. "
"Though I doubt you could me Ma'dam . . ." Zulon added to her and Sam threw up his hands and turned away. He knew Zulon's game and he really didn't feel like this at the momment.

Agari and Deva appeared agitated at her pointed gesture but continued to hover obediently behind Ivan, he craned his head to the side just enough to wink at them, "You both should be flattered she gave a compliment!"
However at the added comment of having his and 'their' competence being undermined, his expression flattened before bouncing back to it's jovial humor, "How can the power of perception be difficult to handle? They're only floating eyes!"

"My apologies then. My hell is quite different as well. Still firey, but still different, too." He was puzzled by her remark though. He hadn't read about her Hell yet, not that he could remember, and it was killing him not knowing exactly who she was. He was silent until Zulon spoke, and even then he just uttered an angry grunt.

It was a long, white hall made dark and cluttered with all manner of metal contraptions. The masses of colored cable and wires coiled and crawled all along the floors, up the walls and criss-crossed the ceiling like ivy. The walls themselves looked worm-eaten and nearly digested by all the machines. Peeking out of holes were barrels and cannons and cold little eyes that laced the stale air with red lasers.
At the end of the trek, a lone spotlight illuminated a sleeping puzzle, glinting off her polished armor. Stretched out to either side were her arms, almost totally disassembled into all their barrels and chargers and blades and simple appliances, most of the pieces rusted and neglected, all woven into an external cable quilt. Her head was sunk forward onto her opened chest, just above the glaring eyes of a tri-cannon. Epic True was offline, recharging her massive battery.
Like a merciless gale, Kali's message swept through the whole planet. It seemed it would pass over the temporarily dead android, but just a second before it came, her battery chirped, and blue energy circuited through her limbs, lighting her eyes before they were set aflame with emerald. Then it hit.
Her head snapped up, the slaughter striking her. Impaled, crushed, burned, broken, and a wave of horror rippled through her own overtaxed mind. Murder.
Her chest cavity heaved like she was taking a breath, but it was only her armor shifting as the full arsenal folded up and reformed as her body, heavy and tall. Her iron fingers flexed, one hand was more than enough to close all the way around a man's chest, and could easily shift into more tools than that man would ever use in his life.
"Okay, m-mom!" She called out to the blackness, the cables that bound her snapping away and retreating to their coils. "I'm leaving!"
No answer came, but the ceiling suddenly split open and California sunshine spilled in, illuminating Epic True's painted, frozen face. She crouched low, and then blasted up into the stratosphere on blue-flaming rockets. She wasn't going toward the disturbance, however. She was going to look for help.
