Hitler was Time's man of the year. Later, so was Stalin.
Please understand that I am not saying that Obama is like either of those men, only that a major political figure can be immensely popular with the rest of the world, but that doesn't make them good people.

Lol, when I said "good character", I meant "respectable" and "charismatic".

Oh, Hitler and Stalin were incredibly charismatic. They were intelligent, they had solutions to their nations' problems. When Hitler came to power, Germany was in the grips of a horrible, horrible depression. It took an entire wheelbarrel of money to buy a loaf of bread. In hardly any time at all, Hitler had gotten the economy back on its feet, setting people to building bridges, fixing roads, producing exports. None could have brought themselves to say he wasn't a very respectable man with incredibly good character.
