[Giant Brother]

While some of the viera started to look around in fright, the leader just scoffed. "I think you're bluffing." She declared.

Suddenly, there was a deafening boom and a flash from behind the group. The viera near the Clan panicked and started to run amok.

[Ninmast]

"Now!" Lucas yelled and rushed forward, one blade up to parry and the other drawn back to strike down whatever enemy he encountered. He was, however, aiming to take down, not kill, even if there wasn't a judge there.

Jake was about to walk back to his spot, but then stopped and pointed to Rensik. "He should lie down." He said shortly.

*Pub*

"You offered the seat." The girl said.

He chuckled. "Okay, any other reasons?"

*Camp*

The viera went down relatively easily, and for the most part, everyone was helping. Another explosion went off and flashes of light erupted from the back of the mob like fireworks. Cassandra and Shark were working together, both of them tearing through the group with the effiency that both magic and melee practice gave them. Amelia hanged back and actually healed the enemy, keeping them just healthy enough to stay alive. Farrah, for a delicate princess in pink silk robe, was a terrifying beast, and any viera that strayed too close to her was sent back with a scorching fire blast.

However, Jake seemed to slip into the chaos unnoticed, whether or not he was still there, let alone helping, was totally indescernable.

*Pub*

The girl clasped her hands together. "Oh, because I just find sailors so attractive, and I want you to sweep me off my feet and take me away from my family. And then, once we're alone on the open water, we could live a life of adventure, and make cute little babies that'll grow into rugged, handsome seafarers like their father." She swooned.

[Oathkeeper]

*Pub*

Dominic eyed her for a moment. "I guess I could oblige a doll like you for a treat like that." He smiled, wondering if she was going to try a knife in the ribs or something.

[Giant Brother]

The girl shot Dominic a completely annoyed look. "I was being sarcastic, meathead." She said.

[Ninmast]

*Camp*

As the last one went down, the leader, Lucas sheathed his swords and knelt down by her, offering a helping hand. "There's got to be other men you can go after. Why do you keep coming after us? You just keep getting yourself hurt."

Not a big surprise to those that knew the paladin, he was actually worried about the well-being of the enemy.

He shrugged. "Then you need to work on tones."

*Camp*

The leader spat at Lucas's ground, attempting to get up on her own. "We have our reputation to consider." She said.

"The pardoning too..." Jake was sitting where Rensik had been, looking over at the leader.

"Pardoning?" Cassandra asked. "What's that?"

"Apprehension of Clan Masfem..." Jake said. "Ironic... The Palace places a bounty..." The alien gestured to the leader. "On those that humiliated you... With full pardoning..."

The leader stared at Jake. "How did you know all of that?"

"You told me." Jake said simply, going back to admiring his towel.

*Pub*

"Maybe I shouldn't have made myself sound so convincing. I figured even a gorilla would be able to pick up on it, but maybe I was wrong." The girl said.

[Oathkeeper]

*Pub*

Dominic chuckled. "Honestly, I was wondering more f you were going to put a knife in my ribs for the remark."

[Ninmast]

*Camp*

Lucas shrugged. "Well, if you're after the pardoning and the bounty, all the male humans here aren't Clan Masfem." He pointed to himself. "Me, I'm Clan Illusions. Rensik isn't part of any clan, and I have no clue who Jake's with. So by chasing us guys, you really aren't accomplishing anything. And we don't know anything about you to ruin your reputations with, but every time you attack us, you run the risk of changing that, so why don't you just go your way and let us go ours, your reputation can stay intact and we can be having a good night sleep without getting jumped in the middle of it. Shoot, you can join us for coffee if you like. I think it's safe to say none of us are sleeping anymore tonight."

[Giant Brother]

*Pub*

"A knife in the ribs isn't my style." The girl said. "A first class, high calibur mage like myself has no need for a shank."

*Camp*

"We're known as the best kidnappers and slavers in Ivalice. If word was spread that some man and his mouthy little whore got the better of us, we'd be ruined." The viera spat.

"Hey!" Cassandra shouted. "May I remind you which point of the blade you're standing on!?"

[Oathkeeper]

*Pub*

"Yes lightning does hurt. However, if you can not pull off a spell before a knife is at your throat it is slightly useless. But, if you can cast a spell while bashing someone with a club, then that is a different story." He smiled, playing with a knife. Notice for later, get whathisname to teach me how to get a damn sword.. more about this world, and see if I can't learn a bit of magic.

Still, with a seemingly infinite good nature, Lucas just gave an embarassed smile. "We ... don't have that kind of relationship ... But please, let us treat your wounds, share our campfire and our breakfast. In exchange, we promise not to do anything to damage your good name and reputation."

"Bashing someone with a club? That's hopelessly barbaric." The girl said.

*Camp*

The leader was about to growl and snarl again, but then her eyes suddenly went wide. "Oh, yes. Please, we'd love to do whatever you desire... If only to stay in the presence of that handsome lad, if only for a few more seconds..."

Cassandra stared at the Viera in shock. "W-what? WHAT handsome la-" Cassandra stopped and looked around. "Wait a minute, where's Telo?
