Instead of answering them, Maxwell glanced over to those the two had come in with. "I'm right, aren't I?" he asked, completely unperturbed by their outburst, as if it only validated the idea.

"No." Colin said. "And I officially think you suck too. Freaking horny little Yuri fanboy."
Jake looked up from his inspection of a statue. "What's the question?"
"Don't worry about it. We won, so let's celebrate." Colin said. "Lucas, come with me. I got something to share with you and this is the perfect time to do so.

Maxwell arched his eyebrow. "Why so sudden? He hasn't answered yet."

"Why not?" Colin asked calmly. Behind Maxwell, Farrah looked like she was about to faint. "I don't see why he has to answer, you've already got the same answer from a majority of us."

"Yeah, and I got a nose for fibbers," Maxwell answered. "Your answers were all too strong, too quick, too overeager to smash the idea into the ground. Your own zeal sheds doubt on your words."

"Fine." Colin said flippantly. "Believe what you want, no one here is stopping you from living in your own fantasy land where innocent princesses throw themselves at other girls."

"Um ..." Lucas hesitated for a moment. "Does ... this mean I shouldn't answer?"

Colin looked back at Lucas flatly, while Cassandra looked like she was going to Meteor the paladin if he did what she thought was wrong. Farrah, on the other hand, looked like she was one more close call away from wetting herself.
"I don't know, Lucas. Does it?" Cassandra asked, scowling.

"Well, he did ask me," the paladin answered honestly.

"Well then, Lucas?" Cassandra asked dangerously. "Are Farrah and I intimate, or not?"

The paladin bit his lip, then blurted out, "Aw, come on, Colin, that's not fair! You know I can't lie!"

"Then don't lie and tell him that they're not gay." Colin said, picking up the proverbial ball immediately.

While the panicked paladin begged, Maxwell walked over to him directly. "Lucas, was it? Are those two or are they not in a homosexual relationship?"
Now, the paladin was stuck. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights as his mind raced through the possible outcomes. Finally, when Maxwell was standing right before him, Lucas leaned forward and whispered in his ear.
The knight nodded in understanding and clapped him on the shoulder, then turned to the rest of the room and shrugged. "I was just curious."

"Just what, exactly, were you curious about?" Gerard suddenly asked. "Whether or not my sister is romantically and physically involved with a woman?" The prince shrugged flippantly. "I really don't see what business it is of yours."
Farrah suddenly jumped in shock and stared at her brother quietly.

Maxwell matched the shrug. "Like I said, just curious. I don't really care, it just explains a lot, that's all."
