*Xolu* The quick-thinking dromite took in the setting quickly and could easily tell that he was the quicker of the three. There was no doubt that he would be able to act before either of them, despite their thinking that they had the drop on him. *Others* The black-clothed rogues came up at them wielding knives, but the ever-ready Paladin would be able to act before any of them. Taxen was too far behind coming out of the smoke, however, and the bleary-eyed beauty, Renee, seemed to still be half asleep. Aelthas narrowed his eyes as he emerged from the building, six shadowy figures descending upon him as he was joined by two of the inn's patrons. Both looked human, one, a female looked as if she had some exotic blood judging by the size of her chest, almost reminded him of his eldest cousin only smaller. The other was male but his clothing looked completely out of place The long coat giving him more in common appearance wise with the thieves than the paladin.
The thieves, he'd almost forgotten them but taking another look he was sure, six of them all dressed in black, no doubt. Shadow Thieves. Not the kind to randomly raid some backwards settlement, someone would have had to pay them a small fortune, and it didn't take a genius to work out they were searching for something.
“A bit far from home aren't you? I thought your kind usually stuck to the gutters and sewers of the big cities.” He raised his shield before him and held his longsword ready. “You've got one chance to surrender and drop your weapons and you might make it through the night with all your limbs intact. I suggest you take it.”

"I don't know what you're talking about," one of the thieves mocked with a cocky grin. "We're just run-of-the-mill bandits, raiding a little village during the busy season!" He threw his arm forward, pointing toward the paladin. "Skin 'em, boys! I want the pretty boy's head, just in case he learned how to use his tongue from his sister!"
The other four thieves up front rushed forward, aiming for Aelthas, but the paladin's shield was easily rotated to parry them away due to his preparation. One got through, but only scratched his side.

"No, you idiots, not like that! Let me show you!" The one giving the orders raised a wrist-mounted crossbow, took careful aim while Aelthas was distracted and fired. The Amnite watched with a feral grin as the bolt went deep into the knight's left shoulder.

(Internet is still buggy, but functional at least to post at certain times)
Taxen ran through the smoke just arriving as the battle barely begun. All of the thieves were busy ganging up on the paladin. He had the option of running, in fact it would be more tactically sound to run, but where could he run to? The entire village was being mobbed, if he ran, he’d just run into more bandits and be by himself. That was bad. Sticking with groups was the way to go. He glanced back to the armored man taking the beating; better him than Taxen though, the heavy armor and shield looked like it could do it’s job holding off all of them. Taxen began to search for a target, and quickly decided that trying to cut off communication was the best resort. Kill the leader and some might flee, or be lost without someone barking the orders. Taxen immediately runs off to the right, moving at least 10 feet in the process before firing off a shot from his pistol at the thief giving the commands.

(What kind of lethal? Just under 0 or past -10 kinda lethal... the later probably isn't the case now that I think about it)
The amnite's grin was perhaps one of the final actions he would ever perform. From out of the corner of his eye he saw a cloaked figure blur to the left, and just as his eyes began to focus on the man, the figure rose his hand, some form of wand held between his fingers. A mere split second later, a crash of thunder followed, the bullet flew through the Amnite's chest, cleanly and precisely, and exploded out the back in a violent torent of flesh, blood, and muscle before the rest of his body came crashing to the ground.

(Nicely done. And he was at -2, but I don't like messing with making players take minor enemies to -10, so if you drop them to 0, I count them as dead.)

Renee staggers back a bit surprised by thieves before making a surprised gasp and slipping to the ground, landing on her back, as her narcoleptic nature kicked in pulled her into a dream as her staff fell to the ground beside her unconscious form. She even mumbled something under her breath in her sleep, "... bunnies..."
*Dream World*
The short curvy woman staggers back, as the scene changes to be a large field covered with numerous wild flowers and the sound of rabbits of all colors and sizes, including an unnatural pink one, quickly bouncing around the field searching for food.
"Cute fluffy bunnies!"

In a panic at the sudden sound of thunder and the dropping of one of their own as his head split like a melon, the remaining thief lunged for Taxen, intending to cut him low and quick. He came down low and along the scout's side with his blade, causing pain to lance through his body at just above the hip.

Xolu frowned at the two bandits, one of his antennae seeming to twitch in irritation at them. "I have no coin to give to petty theives and brigands." He said. "Though I'm sure, given your state of dress, you sorely need it." The dromite made a motion of cracking his knuckles while continuing to chastise the bandits. "You have no shame! Preying upon those who have made no motion to harm you, simply for riches? You would've made a far greater fortune tending fields and herding cattle than trying to rob one such as I!"
The Dromite glared up at the bandits, jabbing a finger at them. "Your actions are foul and inexcusable! And now, in the name of the perfection of Zuoken, MY IRON FIST WILL JUDGE YOU!" Xolu then launched himself at the bandit on the left, clenching his fists and attempting to punch the bandit in the gut.
