Toriji stood up on shaky legs, the pressure still stifling to him. He was burdoned, but still able to move with decent celerity. "Enough talking, let's get this over with." He pulled his sword from the ground and charged in at Kali with energy pouring from it's blade like a flame.

Though Kali made no motion nor even flinched at the incoming attack, Toriji's blade came to a jarring stop as it seemed to connect with some sort of barrier before the sword could complete its motion toward the Man-Demon, though no such barrier could be seen.
"Come now, Toriji," Kali commented politely as he made a dismissive wave with his hands and a huge force slammed into the ninja's side, more than enough to send him flying to the side and into the crystal wall at one side of the cavern. "You have already admitted that challenging me is a practice in futility."

After bouncing off of the wall, Toriji regained his balance and landed on his feet. He swung the sword in a circle over his head while holding his hand in the general handsin at his chin."Cho!" His body collapsed at he sent his soul flying at Kali, teeth and claws beared. Hopefully the barrier was only physical, but in he back of his head, he knew it was nearly over.

The pain that ripped through the very marrow of his soul was incredible and seemed to last forever, but it was really just a moment before Kali again swatted it away. "That was just foolish, my dear prince," the Man-Demon told him. "I, like my father, have something of a specialization in souls."

His soul shot back to his body and a yelp escaped it as the pain now hit. He stood back up, even shakier now and wiped his sore maw. "It's the only card I have to play. The soul techniques I use are the best I have, and it looks like they'l help me none. I was sure of the outcome, but this fight has given me insight on how to deal with nephilim." He let out a chuckle. "Quickly, before they can deal with you." He charged in again, sword in hand.

But this time, no barrier stopped the prince. Instead, Kali simply reached out and touched his fingertip to the tip of his blade. And it shattered into diamond dust.

[k then]
He looked stuned as the blade fell like snow at his feet. Enraged, he jumped at him claws hoping to rip into his flesh. Rage flashed in hi eyes as they caught a blue flame.

With what would seem like an impossible reaction time, Kali's delicate hand reached out from his robe and enclosed about the bone demon's neck with pressure that seemed equally impossible from such a fragile-looking thing. "You bone demons are something. So much that would debilitate anything with a normal nervous system, you just ignore. It makes it difficult to find a way to bring you down without killing you. But do you have any idea how simple the latter would be for me to do? How simple it would be for me to simply squeeze and watch your head pop off like a bottle cap?"

"All too easy. But you and I both know there's nothing in it for you to kill me." His voice was unhindered by the squeeze because it didn't come from his mouth. "Rin, Cho, Zetsu, Raijin, Hij!" He curled up and a massive explosion was set off directly between them. It wouldn't pierce his bone, but would hopefully damage Kali's flesh.

Even as the explosion started, the Man-Demon raised a hand and, before Toriji's very eyes, it reversed, fading back into nothing without even detonating. "You bore me, your highness," Kali declared, his tone ever polite. "How can we make this more interesting, hmm? Perhaps if I added to your power ... But how much would your body be able to handle? Shall we see, my dear Bone Prince?"

"My body can take just about anything. My soul, however, may not take to it so kindly." He blinked heavily his mide racing over the possible outcomes of such an energy pump. It could kill him if he put too much behind it, but Kali wouldn't dare give enough to him to give him an edge. "I'm sure your expertise would be enough to give you an accurate gauge with that information."

"Oh, yes, indeed," the man-demon confirmed, "I know exactly how much is necessary to accomplish my ... entertainment. The question you need to ask yourself is ..." Kali had walked around behind him and now set his hand upon Toriji's shoulder. "... what that might entail."

"I don't think you fearful. But you, like myself, have become paranoid." He laughed a bit even as Kali was behind him. "Without reason you question the future. It is what keeps a lot of people alive."
