Toriji sighed. He hated to be reminded that never really finished his training. Even though that was precisely what he meant to do, Star made it sound as if he meant to do something completely different. "Yeah here I come." He walked into the room The Strategist specified.

"Gee, you don't have to be so grateful," she answered sarcastically. "Since when do I need a reason to help people? A, it's my job and B, it's just what I do."
Back in the portal room, Master Zero just scowled over at the human. "I have my own orders to follow, Carbon. If there's something you'd like me to do, then bring it to me, yourself, and I'll see if I can fit it in."

Carlos paused for a short moment before smiling, "Very well. Your mission will be to contact the Chosen Ones, a highly religious group closed to outsiders, and try to prepare them for the upcoming battle."
In the room Toriji entered a man unnervingly similar to Carlos waited. "Welcome, Toriji. I hope you are ready to pay the Corrupted a visit. They are a group of victims transformed and twisted in the previous war in ways that could only occur when one is caught in the crossfire of devastating magic and technology. They are wary of outsiders, which is why you must play the role of a Corrupted victim yourself."
The Strategist turned away and approached a large monitor which currently showed a real-time, high quality world map. The Strategist worked at the controls and the monitor zoomed in to a small coastal city. "A Magic city," explained the Strategist, moving the controls slightly into the sea, where two battleships were passing. "They are part of the Global Forces' fleet." he zoomed out so that both the city and the battleships were clearly visible. "I want you to get down there and, as you say, 'crack some heads.' You need to push them into a fight, and you need to make sure people from both sides are caught in the crossfire while avoiding it yourself. Once a sufficient number of people have been caught and transformed, you can end the battle without risking the transformed people. It would be good cover for our spies to infiltrate the Corrupted ranks."

The pink-haired girl arched an eyebrow at the man. "Okay, just because we share similar titles doesn't mean I go hanging around with sacrilegious kooks, and I also never pretend to believe something I don't."

"I suppose that'd require my demon form..." He kicked a wall, whatever was closest. "Damn it! I just got used my human form."

"I am sure you can get along, if you try," said Carlos dismissively. "I don't think that you will have to pretend, Star."
The Carlos clone looked at Toriji for a moment then replied, "Yes."

Before the man had a time to register the movement, she was across the room and holding him up off the ground by his shirt. Despite the clear physical threat, her voice was calm. "I guess I don't have to tell you that it would be a good idea to tell me nicely that you weren't just suggesting I[/b] was a sacrilegious kook."
*Master Zero*
The Edenite took in the display casually. "You want me to actively perpetuate Carbon degeneration?"

Carlos remained calm, "No, that was not what I meant. I was saying that you both believe in one god, so you know how to communicate with such people."
*Master Zero*
The Strategist turned to face Master Zero, "Exactly. It is for the greater good, after all."

"That doesn't mean they're the same god," she corrected him, not yet putting him down, "and I don't tolerate wrongdoing from anyone. I'd end up doing exactly what I recommended from the start, cutting the head off the snake and burning the hydra."
*Master Zero*
The Purifier took a step toward him, keeping his gaze on the slightly shorter man's face. "And remind me again who you are to define the greater good, Carbon."

"Then you shall do what needs to be done after you gather the appropriate information. Listen, can you put me down?" Carlos said.
*Master Zero*
"I am the man in charge of this operations. I have been allowed to return from Eden in order to carry out my plans and end the war, and now you, Eden's agent, doubt me so soon. Tell me, has Eden not made greater sacrifices than a simple coastal village for the greater good?" the Strategist answered calmly. "If my efforts fail, I alone will bear the responsibility of my failures before the Mother Units. Until then, I need your full cooperation."

The girl hmphed very teenager-like as she let go of him, allowing him to drop the foot or so back to his feet. "And you're just wanting me to find out, what, exactly?"
*Master Zero*
"You, alone, may bear the responsibility of your failures, Carbon," Master Zero reminded him, "but your whole world will bear its fruits. That you do not think of such things is what causes doubt in your ... judgment."

"Learn of their beliefs, and then decide whether to recruit them to stand by our side in the confrontation against the Global Forces, or fight against them."
*Master Zero*
"I do think of more things than you can imagine, Edenite." said the Strategist. "I am not doing this for popularity or recognition. I am crafting a plan in order to bring peace in the long run, and for peace to be complete, the sacrifice of a few pales in comparison of the long-run consequences should this war continue to run its course. Had I not arrived at Eden's doorstep when I did, how long do you think it would take for the Mother Units to have enough and reboot humanity?"
"The portal's activity is rising!" the scientist announced, "We have multiple entries arriving at any moment!"
"Isolate them," Maya stepped in, "We need each one to arrive in full capacity and individuality."

The girl sourly crossed her arms. "You use "our" a lot. Just tell me where to find them. A picture if you have it, location if you don't."
*Master Zero*
There was only the hum of plasma and the sharp, metallic scent of ionized air cut through the human's nose. In a movement beyond his capability to follow, the Purifier had drawn the Zeta Saber and now had it levelled mere hairs' breadth from the man's nose. "It's time you learn a lesson, Carbon," he stated calmly. "I don't care what you are doing this for, and neither do the Mother Units. They have no faith in your schemes. That is the whole reason they sent me in the first place. Had they not found you so harmlessly pathetic, they would have dealt with you right then and there, but they figured, hey, what was the harm in getting you on home? You provide us with first-hand data without us having to establish a base nearby where technological parameters could be contaminated. They were already preparing to take actions to purge Terra. In fact, you only delayed them. Now, shall I put my sword away or are you going to get back into your own britches?"

Zionix's chuckle could be heard above the hum of Master Zero's blade.
"Look honey, they bicker among themselves."She continued to laugh, and even Olron caught himself at the edge of laughter.
"I guess they really do need some help. Say," He bagan turning back to the gate, "I once saw a show on those....television things on that Earth place, that had something like this. It was very good too. I think it was called StarPortal, or something of the sort."
Zionix gave a look of intrest and an "Ahh" sound but she didnt care, she was looking over the design. She was currently wearing a long sleeved purple shirt under a black velvet vest and some dark blue jeans that looked a dull black in color. She fiddled with he glasses and activated a small camera she had planted in it a little while back, she would save the footage for later to possibly recreate some of the things here or delete it if there was nothing of use.
Olron wore the illusion of a human male in his early thiries with brown hair and brown eyes. The illusion wore a denin jacket over a white tee shirt and had blue jeans on. No shoes were presnt on his feet but he carried an unremarkable stick in his right hand, which he used to walk with, like a cane.

But the moment they tried to laugh, the Edenite wheeled about and sliced at the air, sending a cutting blade of razor sharp air shooting toward the middle of the both of them, invisible and at far, far above the speed of sound.
